Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Dobrimore Budva on Jadranski put, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes those expectations work in your favor. The hotel sits right along the coastal road, and while that means you’ll hear some traffic during the day, it also means you’re literally a two-minute walk from some of Budva’s better beach spots that the tour groups haven’t completely discovered yet.
The thing about this place is that it gets the basics really right. The rooms are clean – I mean properly clean, not just “towels folded into swans” clean – and the staff actually seems to care about helping you figure out the area. The front desk guy (I think his name was Marko?) gave me solid advice about avoiding the main Slovenska Plaza crowds and pointed me toward this little beach section near the Citadel where locals actually go. That’s worth its weight in gold during summer when Budva gets absolutely packed. The AC works well too, which honestly matters more than fancy lobby marble when it’s 35 degrees outside and you’ve been walking around the Old Town all day.
What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night – even being on the main road, once the evening settles in, you’re not dealing with party noise from the clubs down in the center. You’re close enough to walk to Budva’s old town (maybe 10 minutes if you don’t mind a little uphill), but far enough that you can actually sleep. The breakfast is pretty standard – think local cheeses, some pastries, decent coffee – but they do this thing with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers that actually tastes like, well, tomatoes and cucumbers. Small thing, but after a week of hotel buffet vegetables that taste like water, you notice. I’d say if you’re looking for a place that won’t blow your budget but keeps you comfortable while you explore Montenegro’s coast, Dobrimore hits that sweet spot. It’s not Instagram-fancy, but it’s the kind of place where you can dump your beach gear, take a proper shower, and head out for dinner without worrying about whether your room key will work when you stumble back later.
To book hotel in Budva during the famous summer festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts beach enthusiasts and nightlife lovers from around the world.
