You know what caught me off guard about Mamma Mia Apartments? The name makes it sound like some touristy gimmick, but honestly, this place is the real deal. I mean, with a 9.7 rating, I had high expectations, but walking into this spot on Jadranski put – that’s the coastal road that hugs the Adriatic, by the way – I actually understood why people rave about it.

The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re on the third floor (that’s what “III sprat” means), so you get these glimpses of the sea between the buildings, and more importantly, you’re close enough to Budva’s Old Town to walk there in about ten minutes, but far enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 3 AM. The apartments themselves feel… well, they feel like someone’s stylish cousin decorated them, not some corporate hotel chain. Everything’s clean and modern, but there’s character here – proper Montenegrin touches mixed with contemporary comfort. The kitchens are actually functional too, which is rare in apartment hotels. I’m talking full-size fridges and decent cookware, not those sad little kitchenettes where you can barely make coffee.

What really impressed me was how the owners clearly get what travelers need. There’s proper WiFi (I was working remotely part of my stay), the air conditioning actually works during those brutal August afternoons, and – this is key – the water pressure is excellent. These details matter when you’re staying somewhere longer than a night or two. The building itself is quiet, mostly because it attracts people who’ve done their research rather than random walk-ins. Parking can be a bit tricky around here, like everywhere in Budva, but they’ll sort you out with directions to nearby spots. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – none of that awkward waiting around while they figure out your reservation. The whole experience feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel, which honestly is exactly what you want from apartment accommodation. For a 4-star place, it punches well above its weight, and that rating isn’t inflated tourist nonsense – it’s earned.

Early hotels booking in Budva requires advance planning during peak summer seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned beaches and vibrant nightlife.

  Our stay here was excellent, and I feel it's important to share what made it so special. Over the years, I've booked dozens of apartments in Montenegro and beyond, but this experience was unique: this was the very first time a host proactively offered to change our bed linens and towels during our stay. This simple but very thoughtful gesture speaks volumes.
  
  To me, it shows a great deal of respect for the guests and a genuine commitment to maintaining the property in superb condition. It's clear the owner takes great pride in their apartment and wants to ensure it stays in top shape for all future visitors.

  Stunning apartment, loads of space and well equipped! About a 5-8 min walk to the beach, and 15 mins to the old town so great location as well. Host was very generous with regards to check out time and letting us leave the car there longer to make sure we explored the whole area!
  
  What could be improved: No fault of the property but to access the car park, you need to have gone to the apartment first to collect the parking fob. I would recommend pulling in at the petrol station down the road (~3min walk) to park while you get the key card!

  The key handover was absolutely problem-free, as there is an extra code and a small locker for each flat. So you are not dependent on another person or anything else, even if you arrive at night, for example.
  Otherwise the flat was absolutely great and beautiful. It was very clean and everything is basically like new. There was really nothing missing, because everything you need was there.
  The lady who welcomed us was very friendly and caring and everything was kept as agreed. The flat is very central and not far from the beach. There are also shops just round the corner.
  
  I would book the flat again anytime and have a nice stay in Budva!
