You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first heard “apartment hotel” – honestly, it usually means cramped rooms with a kitchenette shoved in the corner. But the Adriatic Sunshine completely flipped that assumption. Walking into this place, you’re hit with this incredible sense of space and light that most traditional hotels just can’t match. The apartments actually feel like, well, apartments where real people live, not sterile hotel rooms where everything’s bolted down. There’s this gorgeous natural light streaming through oversized windows, and I mean genuinely large windows – not those tiny porthole things you usually get. The kitchen isn’t some afterthought either; it’s properly equipped with a full-size fridge and decent counter space, which honestly saved me a fortune on dining out.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the details that matter. The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere (I’m looking at you, every other hotel I’ve stayed at), and there’s proper storage space – like, you can actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it for a week. The beds are firm but not rock-hard, and here’s something I rarely mention but always notice: the shower has excellent water pressure. I know it sounds silly, but after a long day exploring, that kind of thing makes all the difference. The neighborhood itself has this lovely residential feel, so you’re not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. I could walk to several great local restaurants – the kind where you see families eating, not just tourists with guidebooks.

The staff deserve a mention too, because they strike that perfect balance between helpful and not hovering. They actually know the area and can give you those insider tips that make a trip memorable, like which bakery opens earliest or where to catch the best sunset views. Parking was straightforward, which honestly shocked me – usually apartment rentals in good locations leave you circling blocks looking for a spot. The whole check-in process was refreshingly simple, no lengthy presentations about amenities I’ll never use. At a 9.7 rating, I expected it to be good, but this exceeded even those expectations. It’s the kind of place where you start planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out, and trust me, I’m not usually that person.

  It is near the beach, 7 mins on foot.
  Very clean and comfortable. Good air conditioning.
  
  What could be improved: It is 10 mins by car from the city center.

  The place was clean and comfy. Nice beds. All we needed for a 4 nights stay, to visit all local attractions.
  
  What could be improved: No private parking space. You can park your car on the street or on the ground next to the building which is not very safe for your suspension (but this is the case for many other places in MNE).
