Adzic Apartments

You know what really struck me about Adzic Apartments when I first walked in? The fact that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. I mean, this is a solid 3-star place that somehow manages to feel way more comfortable than some of those fancy hotels that spend all their money on marble lobbies. The moment you step inside, there’s this lived-in quality – not worn down, just… real, if that makes sense.

What actually surprised me was how spacious everything felt. The apartments (and they really are apartments, not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette shoved in the corner) have this authentic European vibe that you can’t fake. The owner, who I’m guessing is from the Adzic family, clearly put thought into making each unit feel like someone’s actual home. You’ll find little touches like proper coffee makers – none of those terrible pod machines – and kitchen setups that suggest they actually expect you to cook something more elaborate than instant noodles. Honestly, after staying in cookie-cutter chain hotels for years, it was refreshing to have cabinet doors that didn’t all match perfectly and bathroom tiles that had some character to them.

The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not flashy enough for a perfect 10, but there’s something to be said for a place where the WiFi actually works in every corner, the neighbors aren’t stomping around at 2 AM, and you don’t feel like you’re living in a sterile box. I stayed during what seemed like shoulder season and the whole building had this peaceful energy – you’d hear people coming and going, but it never felt chaotic. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, no endless paperwork or aggressive upselling attempts. Just keys, a genuine “let me know if you need anything,” and you’re set. Sometimes the simple approach is exactly what you need, especially when you’re dealing with travel fatigue and just want a clean, comfortable place to decompress that doesn’t cost a fortune or make you feel like you’re camping in someone’s corporate boardroom.
