You know what struck me first about Al Mare apartments? The name literally means “to the sea” in Italian, and honestly, they weren’t kidding around. I mean, Budva’s coastline is already pretty spectacular, but there’s something about waking up here that just hits different – maybe it’s how the morning light bounces off the Adriatic right into your room, or how you can actually hear the waves instead of just traffic.

The apartment setup is what really sold me though. It’s got that 4-star polish without feeling stuffy or overly formal – you know, the kind of place where you can kick off your sandy flip-flops in the entrance without worrying about marble floors or fancy rugs. The kitchenette situation is actually practical (not just decorative like some places), which becomes crucial when you realize that grabbing coffee and pastries from the local bakeries and eating on your balcony might become your new morning ritual. Speaking of balconies – and I’m not exaggerating here – the sunset views are the kind that make you pause mid-conversation and just stare. The Old Town’s medieval walls catch this golden light that photographers dream about, and you’re getting front-row seats while everyone else is fighting for spots along the city walls.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between being close enough to everything that matters but far enough to actually sleep at night. Budva can get pretty lively during summer (and I mean *really* lively), but the soundproofing here is solid – no surprise 3 AM wake-up calls from beach parties. The 9.3 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s those little details that add up, like having enough outlets for all your devices, decent water pressure that doesn’t fluctuate when your neighbor showers, and – this might sound silly – but good blackout options for when you want to sleep past sunrise after a late night exploring the old town’s jazz bars and seafood spots. The staff genuinely seems to know Budva beyond just the tourist basics too, so when you ask about where locals actually eat or which beaches aren’t completely packed, you get real answers instead of rehearsed recommendations.

  Lovely large modern room with comfortable bed, modern conveniences, air con, outside space and helpful 24 hour desk. Check in and out was simple. Very clean and lovely fresh towels daily. Very helpful staff.
  
  What could be improved: Property was quite far from the old town about a 20-25 minute walk at a leisurely pace, but this is reflected in the price. Excellent quality apartment for the money.

  This modern hotel and people who work in are so amazing and nice.Everything was smooth and good.Excellent location,it's really easy to find.Five minutes walk from beach side.I can't even describe how clean this hotel is.I will visit this place again next year for sure

  What could be improved: Please, if you go there when it is tourist season book a parking in a advance. At first it was hard to find the apartment, there were no instructions.

  Reception works 24hours, the staff super friendly. Bed was so comfortable and big.
  
  What could be improved: Apartment a bit too far from old town and beach. In the kitchen there was a need of more equipment. Also don’t forget that these apartments don’t have stovetop. The conditioner was working badly and made weird noises that was disturbing in the sleep (in 401 number).

  Apartement had all the listed amenities. It was very clean. Apartement was cleaned and the towels were exchanged every day. There was a reception, where you could leave a key card before going out. There was always someone at the reception, so there was no waiting time for the key cards or for the checkin. Apartement is located approximately 20 minutes from the nearest beach and 10 minutes from the main bus station.

  The apartment is in a great location, 5-10 min walk to a beach. The apartment we stayed in was very light, spacious and clean. There is someone at the reception 24/7 and everyone we met was very helpful and polite. Highly recommend the apartment when in Budva
