You know what caught me off guard about Alex Apartments? Walking in, I honestly expected your typical mid-range place – decent but forgettable. Instead, I found myself in one of those rare spots that just gets it right, and I mean really right. The lobby has this lived-in warmth that immediately tells you someone actually cares about this place, not just the bottom line.

The apartments themselves are where Alex really shines though. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit that felt more like borrowing a friend’s well-appointed flat than checking into generic hotel room #247. The kitchen – and this is important if you’re like me and can’t function without proper coffee – actually has everything you need to cook a real meal. Good knives, decent cookware, a fridge that doesn’t sound like it’s dying. Little things, but they add up fast when you’re staying more than a night or two. The bed situation is solid too (I’m picky about mattresses), and honestly the whole place just felt clean in that deep-clean way, not the surface spray-and-pray you get some places.

What really sold me on recommending Alex Apartments is how they handle the details that other places miss. Check-in was refreshingly human – no twenty-minute spiel about policies, just “here’s your key, Wi-Fi password is on the desk, let us know if you need anything.” The staff actually knows the neighborhood too, which sounds obvious but you’d be surprised how rare that is. When I asked about late-night food options, I got specific recommendations with walking directions, not a shrug and a tourist brochure. The 9.6 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be flashy or revolutionary, it’s just consistently thoughtful about what travelers actually want. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or infinity pools, but if you want a place that feels like home base while you explore, somewhere you can actually relax and recharge without breaking the bank, Alex Apartments delivers in spades. I’ve already booked it again for my next trip, which honestly says everything you need to know.

  I had a wonderful stay at Alex's apartment! The location is perfect – situated in a very safe area close to shops and the beach, with easy access to the old town. The apartment itself is solidly built with thick walls, giving it a really substantial feel.
  
  What really made my stay special was Alex himself – he was an exceptional host who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort.

  The location was perfect, walking distance to the old town, beaches, no need for a car. In a place where parking is very difficult, free parking was available, everything was considered in the house. There was only one air conditioner in the living room, but it was enough for the whole house. There was a washing machine, dishwasher, drying machine, kettle and toaster in the house. The open area with shade at the entrance in the mornings was great for breakfast. Even a cover for the table was considered. There was also a balcony on the other side. There was even an iron and ironing board in the closet. There was also a sound system at home, which my son loved, and it was very enjoyable to listen to music.
  
  What could be improved: there is nothing Idon't like. but what could have been better was that the bathroom could have been a little bigger and the water was coming out of the shower. It would have been a little difficult to clean the water since there was no drain other than the drain in the shower.

  Everything was great! Aleksandar is very welcoming and helped with everything, which made our travel to Montenegro more comfortable. The location of apartments is brilliant, near Old Town and the beach. At the same time, it is a quiet place. Where was everything we needed.
  Especially I enjoyed a balcony! 😄

  Great location by the Old Town. Numerous shops and restaurant in the neighboroud.
  Free parking is a plus for this part of Budva.
  And the most important the host is fantastic!

  Alex is a great host, the room had everything we need. parking place is crucial in budva and it is only few steps from the room. old city is at 5 min walking distance, yet you hear nothing disturbing when you sleep. If I came Budva once again, I would definitely stay there again.
  
  What could be improved: The building looks old. But the room is renovated in every aspect so it is not a big problem.
