You know what caught me off guard about Aloft Apartment? The name makes it sound like some corporate chain property, but honestly, this place has way more personality than I expected. I mean, sure, it’s technically a 3-star spot, but that 9.9 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen – you can feel it the moment you walk in.

The lobby has this relaxed vibe that actually works, not like those try-hard boutique places that feel forced. There’s usually some decent music playing (not elevator jazz, thank god), and the staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth – I’ve stayed at supposed 5-star places where they act like you’re interrupting their day, but here they actually seemed happy to see me. The room itself surprised me too. It’s not huge, but everything’s thoughtfully laid out, and the bed is honestly one of those you don’t want to leave in the morning. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed – good water pressure, which you can never take for granted.

What really sells this place though is how it feels lived-in rather than sterile. The common areas have that slightly worn-in comfort that makes you want to hang out with your laptop or just people-watch. I spent a good hour one evening just sitting in their lounge area, and you get this nice mix of business travelers and people who clearly found this gem and keep coming back. The neighborhood’s pretty solid for walking around – nothing too fancy, but you’re not stuck in some tourist bubble either. Parking was easier than I thought it’d be, which is always a relief. The only minor thing I’d mention is that street-facing rooms can get a bit of traffic noise in the morning, but honestly, it wasn’t bad enough to mess with my sleep. If you’re a super light sleeper, just mention it when you book and they’ll probably sort you out with something quieter. For the price point, this place delivers way more than it promises, and that’s rare these days.
