Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Anatolija Apartment 11” on the booking site, I wasn’t expecting much. The name sounds pretty basic, and three stars in Budva usually means you’re rolling the dice. But man, was I wrong about this place.
The location in Becici is actually brilliant if you know the area at all. You’re maybe a five-minute walk from that gorgeous stretch of beach that the big resort hotels charge crazy money to access, but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM (trust me, that’s worth its weight in gold during summer season). The building itself sits on this quiet residential street where actual Montenegrins live – you know, the kind of neighborhood where you’ll see grandmas hanging laundry and kids playing football in the courtyard. It feels real, which is something you don’t get much of in the main Budva tourist zone.
What really got me about Apartment 11 specifically was how thoughtfully it’s set up. The owner clearly gets what travelers actually need – there’s decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, a proper coffee maker (not one of those sad little pod things), and honestly the best part? The balcony catches this amazing morning light where you can sit with your coffee and watch the Adriatic wake up. The apartment itself is clean and comfortable without trying to be fancy – I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything works and there’s enough space to actually unpack your stuff. The shower has proper water pressure too, which sounds small until you’ve spent a week somewhere with that sad drizzle situation.
The whole setup just makes sense for the price point. You’re getting authentic Montenegro vibes without the tourist markup, you can walk to the beach in flip-flops, and there’s a little market around the corner where this elderly couple sells the most incredible local cheese and prosciutto – seriously, grab some for an impromptu balcony dinner. The bus to old town Budva stops right at the bottom of the street if you want to explore the medieval walls and fortress, but honestly? Some of my best memories were just hanging around Becici, swimming in water that’s actually swimmable (unlike some of the crowded beaches), and feeling like I’d stumbled into the Montenegro that locals still recognize.
Exploring Budva offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Montenegro’s coastal jewel, from its ancient citadel to its pristine beaches and lively summer atmosphere.
