Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Apartament Lisa on Brodarska Street – I mean, it’s tucked away in this quiet residential area that you’d probably walk right past if you weren’t looking for it. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds in Budva are the ones that don’t scream for attention.

The thing about staying here is that you’re actually living like a local for a few days, not just passing through like another tourist. Brodarska 3 puts you maybe a seven-minute walk from the Old Town walls (I timed it because I’m weird like that), but far enough away that you won’t hear drunk British guys singing at 3 AM. Lisa – yeah, that’s actually the owner’s name, not some marketing gimmick – has this place dialed in perfectly. The apartment itself feels more like staying at your surprisingly stylish friend’s place than a typical rental. Everything works (shocking, I know), the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and there’s actually decent water pressure in the shower. Small victories, but they matter when you’re dealing with Montenegrin plumbing standards.

What really got me was the attention to details that most places completely miss. Like, there’s proper blackout curtains because Lisa gets that summer sunrises start stupidly early here, and she’s stocked the kitchen with stuff you’d actually use – not just three mismatched plates and a broken can opener. The whole setup feels… I don’t know, considered? You can tell someone actually stayed here themselves and thought “what would annoy me?” then fixed it. The location thing is tricky to explain without sounding like a guidebook, but here’s the deal: you’re close enough to walk to Slovenska Plaža when you want that proper beach scene, but you can also hit the smaller, less chaotic spots toward Becici without needing a taxi. Plus – and this is huge during July and August – you can actually park around here without wanting to throw your rental car keys into the Adriatic.

I’ll be honest, the 9.9 rating seemed almost too good to be true when I booked (who gets 9.9 on anything?), but after staying here… yeah, it makes sense. It’s not fancy in that Instagram-bait way, but everything just works smoothly. Lisa responds to messages quickly, check-in was painless, and when I had a question about bus routes to Kotor, she gave me the actual local advice, not the tourist office version. Sometimes you find places that feel like someone genuinely cares about whether you have a good time in their city – this is one of those spots. If you’re the type who’d rather have a solid, well-thought-out base than pay extra for a hotel lobby you’ll use twice, Apartament Lisa is going to work out really well for you.
