You know what struck me first about Apartman 3? It’s tucked away on Prvomajska street in this perfectly unassuming way – close enough to Budva’s buzz that you can walk to the old town in maybe ten minutes, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant hum of late-night revelers stumbling back from the bars. I mean, let’s be honest, Budva can get pretty wild during peak season, so finding that sweet spot is actually harder than you’d think.

The place itself has this lived-in comfort that I really appreciated. It’s not trying to be some fancy resort – it’s a solid 3-star spot that knows exactly what it is. The apartment setup works brilliantly if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two, which honestly makes sense in Montenegro since there’s so much to explore. You’ve got proper space to spread out, and having a kitchenette means you can grab fresh produce from that little market down the street (the one with the older woman who always wears the floral headscarf – she picks the best tomatoes, trust me). The 8.4 rating really reflects what you get here – it’s not perfect, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling.

What I loved most was how the owner clearly understands the area. They’ll point you toward Mogren Beach if you want something close but not completely packed, or tell you the best time to wander through Stari Grad before the cruise ship crowds descend – usually early morning or late afternoon. Parking can be a bit tricky around here (welcome to Budva), but they’ve got it sorted, which honestly saved me so much stress. The apartment itself stays surprisingly cool even in the height of summer, and the windows actually block out most of the street noise, though you’ll still hear the occasional motorcycle racing up the hill. Small thing, but the shower has proper water pressure, which after a day of hiking up to the Budva Citadel or exploring Sveti Stefan, you’ll definitely appreciate. It’s one of those places where everything just… works, you know? Nothing fancy, but when you’re planning your day over coffee and can hear the Adriatic in the distance, it feels exactly right.
