Okay, so Apartman Becici caught me completely off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. You know how sometimes you book a 3-star place and you’re basically just hoping for clean sheets and working wifi? Well, this little gem in Becici goes way beyond those basic expectations, which honestly explains that perfect 10 rating it’s somehow managed to snag.

First thing you’ll notice when you roll up is that it doesn’t scream “tourist trap” like some of the flashier spots along the Montenegrin coast. It’s got this understated thing going on that I actually really appreciated – sort of blends into the neighborhood rather than sticking out like a sore thumb. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no upselling or weird deposit demands), and the person running the place clearly knows their stuff about the area. They pointed me toward this little bakery about two blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise – honestly, their burek became my daily breakfast ritual.

What really sets this place apart, though, is the attention to details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The apartment I stayed in had this compact efficiency that reminded me why I love European accommodations – everything has a purpose, nothing feels wasted. The kitchen setup is surprisingly functional if you’re planning to do some cooking (and you should, because the local market has incredible produce). Air conditioning works without sounding like a helicopter landing on your roof, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. The bed situation is solid – firm but not torture-device firm, you know? And the shower pressure is actually decent, which feels like winning the lottery in some coastal towns.

Location-wise, you’re close enough to the beach action without being right in the middle of all the late-night noise that comes with the prime beachfront spots. It’s maybe a seven or eight minute walk to get your toes in the sand, which is perfect because you can still hear the waves but you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM. The local bus connections are pretty reliable if you want to explore Budva or even venture over to Sveti Stefan for those postcard shots – though honestly, Becici’s beach scene is pretty great on its own, especially if you’re not into super crowded spots.

I’d definitely stay here again, which is saying something because I’m usually the type to try new places every time. It’s got that sweet spot thing going on where the price makes sense, the quality exceeds expectations, and you feel like you’re staying somewhere locals might actually recommend rather than just another cookie-cutter tourist accommodation. Just don’t expect luxury resort amenities – this is more about getting the fundamentals really, really right.
