Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartman Budva 1 on Dositejeva street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones that catch you completely off guard. This little gem sits in one of those quiet residential streets that locals actually live on, not the tourist-packed main drags where you’re dodging selfie sticks every five minutes.

The thing about Dositejeva is that it’s perfectly positioned – you’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the Old Town walls (I timed it because I’m weird like that), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the late-night bar crowds stumbling past your window. The owner, and I mean this in the best way possible, actually cares about the details. Fresh linens that smell like they were dried in Mediterranean sunshine, not industrial fabric softener. The kitchen setup is honestly better than what I have at home – proper knives, decent cookware, not the usual apartment rental junk. And here’s something you won’t read in other reviews: the water pressure is incredible. After walking around Budva’s cobblestones all day, that shower hits different.

What really sold me though was the morning routine I fell into. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down where the locals grab their burek – the owner doesn’t speak much English but she’ll remember your order after day two. You can smell the sea from the apartment’s balcony if you catch the breeze just right, and honestly, watching the neighborhood wake up with your coffee is pretty magical. The 9.6 rating makes sense when you realize it’s not trying to be some fancy resort experience – it’s just doing everything really, really well. The Wi-Fi actually works (crucial for those of us who can’t completely disconnect), the AC doesn’t sound like a freight train, and there’s decent parking nearby which, trust me, is gold in Budva during summer. I mean, sure, you’re not getting room service or a concierge, but you’re getting something better – a real slice of how people actually live here, with all the creature comforts that make you want to extend your stay by a few more days.

  It was an amazing apartment, very clean and very comfortable place to stay. Beach, shopping mall and markets are very close, you even have street workout park in front of building. Very kind staff.

  I liked the apartment, we had everything we need, it was spotless clean. Enough space, in a quiet neighborhood. The location was awesome, close to Old Town by foot, and to magnificent beaches "Richard's Head" and "Mogren". Communication with the owner was easy and smooth and clear, we were kindly offered help about everything we were looking for. All recommendations.
