Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of places in Budva, and honestly, Apartman Djordje surprised me in the best way possible. When you first pull up, it’s not going to wow you with some grand entrance – it’s actually pretty understated, which I mean, that’s kind of refreshing when you’re used to all the flashy resort nonsense along the coast. The building sits quietly in a residential area, and you know what? That turned out to be exactly what I didn’t know I wanted.
The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that you just can’t fake. The owner, Djordje (and yes, he’s a real person, not some corporate entity), clearly pays attention to the details that actually matter when you’re trying to settle in somewhere for a few days. The kitchen has proper coffee – not those sad little packets – and the shower pressure is honestly better than my place back home. I spent most mornings on the little balcony with my coffee, watching the locals head off to work while the tourists were still sleeping off their rakija from the night before. There’s something really grounding about being tucked into the rhythm of actual Budva life instead of just the party scene everyone talks about.
What really sold me on this place was how Djordje handles the whole experience. He doesn’t hover, but he’s genuinely helpful – gave me directions to this little bakery that I never would have found otherwise, and warned me about the construction happening two streets over (which saved me from some early morning drilling sounds). The location is actually perfect if you think about it – you’re close enough to walk to Slovenska Plaza in about ten minutes when you want the beach crowds, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. Parking was never an issue, which honestly, if you’ve driven around Budva in summer, you know that’s basically a miracle. The whole setup just works, you know? It’s the kind of place where you stop feeling like a tourist and start feeling like you’re just… living somewhere for a bit. And with that perfect rating it’s got, I’m clearly not the only one who figured this out.
