Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Budva, and Apartman Kaprize is one of those hidden gems that honestly surprised me. You know how sometimes you book a 3-star place and expect the bare minimum? Well, this isn’t that. The moment I walked through the door on Vrzdak street – which, by the way, is this narrow cobblestone lane that most tourists miss because they’re all fighting for space on the main drag – I realized I’d stumbled onto something special.

The thing about staying right in Old Town is that you’re literally living inside medieval walls. I mean, my morning coffee routine involved walking past 15th-century stone buildings to grab espresso from this tiny café where the barista knew everyone’s order by heart. Apartman Kaprize sits perfectly in this maze of history, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth it. You’re maybe a two-minute stumble from the Citadel (great for sunset photos, terrible for your Instagram storage), but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the street performers and tour groups that camp out near the main square. The sound situation is actually pretty good – I was worried about noise since Old Town can get rowdy, but Vrzdak stays relatively quiet, especially after the day-trippers head back to their cruise ships.

What really got me was the attention to detail. The owner clearly gets what travelers actually need – and I don’t mean fancy marble countertops or whatever. I’m talking about proper water pressure in the shower (seriously underrated), blackout curtains that actually block light, and WiFi that doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next apartment starts streaming Netflix. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which works perfectly if you want to pretend you’re a local for a few days. There’s this little balcony where I’d sit with morning coffee, watching the cats navigate the rooftops – Montenegro has the most confident cats I’ve ever seen, they own these old towns completely. The kitchen setup is simple but functional, which came in handy since the green market is literally around the corner and those Montenegrin tomatoes are something else entirely.

Parking can be tricky in Old Town (well, impossible really), but they sorted that out for me without the usual runaround you get at bigger places. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy speeches about breakfast times or pool rules, just genuine recommendations about where to eat and which beaches aren’t completely overrun. That perfect 10 rating makes sense once you realize this place delivers exactly what it promises, nothing more or less. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but for exploring Budva’s old streets and having a proper base to crash after long days hiking around Lovćen or beach-hopping along the coast, Apartman Kaprize hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Budva’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Mediterranean charm and modern comfort, with many featuring sea view terraces and traditional Montenegrin hospitality.

What could be improved: Нет стиральной машины, но её там некуда ставить и на короткий срок не критично.

Tesisin konumu muhteşem kapınızı açtığınız anda direk old town ın içindesiniz .
