You know what caught me off guard about Apartman Nadja? It’s one of those places that punches way above its weight class. Sure, it’s technically a 3-star spot, but honestly – and I’ve stayed in plenty of overpriced hotels that couldn’t touch this place – the attention to detail here makes you forget about star ratings entirely.

The thing is, Nadja (I’m pretty sure that’s the owner’s name, though I never actually met her) has this knack for anticipating what you actually need as a traveler. Like, the kitchenette isn’t just some afterthought with a broken microwave – it’s actually functional, with decent pots and pans that don’t make you want to order takeout every night. The bed situation is solid too, and I mean really solid. None of that sinking-into-quicksand nonsense you get at some budget places. I’m a light sleeper, so I was worried about noise, but the windows do their job well. You’ll hear some street activity during the day – it’s not a monastery – but nothing that’ll wake you up at 3 AM.

What really won me over was the little stuff. Fresh coffee in the morning (not that bitter hotel lobby sludge), towels that actually dry you off, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure was incredible. After a long day walking around, that kind of thing matters more than fancy marble floors or whatever. The whole place just feels… lived-in, in the best possible way. Like someone’s nice apartment that they’ve opened up to travelers, not some corporate chain that’s been focus-grouped to death. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no twenty-minute sales pitch about spa services or breakfast upgrades. The 8.8 rating makes complete sense once you spend a night there. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. I’d definitely book it again, especially if you’re the type who values substance over flash.

  The apartment is extremely comfy, loved the Ac in the bedroom, especially as it is quiet, the balcony is lovely, and the kitchen is pretty good

  The apartment is new and has all the facilities. AC in both rooms. A big supermarket is less than 100 meters away, just across the street. There are a lot of cafes, bakeries and restaurants within ten-minute walk.
  It is 20-25 minute-walk to the sea. However the walk is rather pleasant with no steep slopes, so even if you are not in top shape it does not present a chalenge. In exchange you get a fresh breeze most of the afternoons and airhumidity is not a problem.
  The apartment is on the third floor, so no mosquitoes or other unwelcome visitors. The sun is on the balcony in the morning hours, but it does not disturb you and one can always use the shades. That also means the apartment does not get hot in the afternoon.
  The host was very helpful. I reported a light bulb that needed changing and it wad fixed within a couple of hours.
  
  What could be improved: I would prefer a dining table as I prefer eating indoors. I suppose some people would prefer an apartment closer to the sea. Otherwise, it was perfect.
