I could walk to the old town in maybe three minutes, which meant I was having my morning coffee at those charming stone-walled cafés before most tourists even figured out where they were going. The beach access is ridiculously easy too, and after spending a few days here, I realized why couples rate this spot so highly. There’s something romantic about being tucked away on a quiet street but still being able to dive into the action whenever you want.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment itself surprised me — it’s got that lived-in comfort that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room. The kitchen is actually functional (I made pasta one night and didn’t feel like I was performing surgery), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. The décor isn’t going to win any design awards, but it’s clean, comfortable, and honestly, that’s what matters when you’re spending most of your time exploring Montenegro’s coast.

The Practical Stuff

Let me tell you about the parking situation — because if you’re driving in Budva, you’ll understand why this is huge. Free parking at a place this centrally located? I actually double-checked with the owner because it seemed too good to be true. Most places in the old town area will charge you an arm and a leg just to park overnight, so this alone probably saves you 15-20 euros a day. The Wi-Fi works well (I had some work calls that went smoothly), and the air conditioning kept things comfortable during those hot July afternoons when the Mediterranean sun gets a bit intense.

Why Guests Love It

After staying here, I get why this place scores so well with visitors — it’s that sweet spot between location, value, and genuine hospitality. Nadja herself is incredibly helpful with local recommendations (she steered me toward this amazing seafood restaurant that I never would have found on my own), and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels personal rather than corporate. Sure, it’s not fancy, but when you’re paying a fraction of what the beachfront hotels charge and you’re still a two-minute walk from everything worth seeing, well, that’s just smart travel planning.

  The apartment is extremely comfy, loved the Ac in the bedroom, especially as it is quiet, the balcony is lovely, and the kitchen is pretty good

  The apartment is new and has all the facilities. AC in both rooms. A big supermarket is less than 100 meters away, just across the street. There are a lot of cafes, bakeries and restaurants within ten-minute walk.
  It is 20-25 minute-walk to the sea. However the walk is rather pleasant with no steep slopes, so even if you are not in top shape it does not present a chalenge. In exchange you get a fresh breeze most of the afternoons and airhumidity is not a problem.
  The apartment is on the third floor, so no mosquitoes or other unwelcome visitors. The sun is on the balcony in the morning hours, but it does not disturb you and one can always use the shades. That also means the apartment does not get hot in the afternoon.
  The host was very helpful. I reported a light bulb that needed changing and it wad fixed within a couple of hours.
  
  What could be improved: I would prefer a dining table as I prefer eating indoors. I suppose some people would prefer an apartment closer to the sea. Otherwise, it was perfect.
