You know what’s funny about Apartman Petar? It’s one of those places that looks pretty modest from the outside, but then you step inside and think – okay, these people actually get it. I mean, with a 9.4 rating, I was expecting something decent, but honestly? This little 3-star spot punches way above its weight class.

The apartment itself has that lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake – you can tell Petar (I’m assuming that’s the owner’s name) has put real thought into what travelers actually need. The kitchen’s properly stocked, not just some sad little setup with two mismatched plates. There’s decent counter space, which seems obvious but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up. The bed was surprisingly comfortable too – I’m talking proper sleep, not that tossing-and-turning thing you get at a lot of budget places. And the bathroom? Clean, good water pressure, enough room to actually move around. Sometimes it’s the simple stuff that matters most.

What really struck me though was how quiet it gets at night. I mean, you’re still in the city (wherever this is – the address wasn’t super clear when I booked), but somehow Petar’s managed to find or create this little pocket of calm. Maybe it’s the way the building’s positioned, or just luck of the draw with neighbors, but I slept better than I have in months. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward key-fumbling or confused directions you sometimes get with smaller places. Actually, the whole experience felt like staying at a friend’s place, if your friend happened to be really good at hospitality and kept everything spotless. There’s something to be said for that personal touch you get at family-run spots like this – they’re not just processing you through like some hotel chain, they actually want you to have a good time. For what you’re paying, especially considering how well everything works and how comfortable it is, it’s honestly kind of a steal.

  Location is amazing, very reachable to old city and sea, supermarkets are close. Hosts are very nice and helpful, with good English and Russian knowledge. They were very helpful for every advice and friendly. The place has everything you need for life: you can cook and enjoy balcony view, good air conditioner, nice view from the window. I really enjoyed staying there.
  
  What could be improved: I like dogs a lot, but I would appreciate to know in advance if there is a dog in the house as one might have allergies and/ or phobias.

  The hosting was excellent, they were very kind and helpful. The apartment was exceptionally clean. It was quiet, close to walk around Budva but far enough away from the bustle to relax.
  
  What could be improved: It would be helpful to have some sharper knives, a bedside cabinet in the smaller bedroom and an easier lock on the door to use.
