The owner clearly knows what they’re doing because the little details are sorted – decent Wi-Fi, air conditioning that actually cools the place down, and a kitchen that’s properly equipped if you want to grab groceries from the Franca or Voli down the road instead of eating out every meal.

Here’s what sold me on the place though – it feels authentic in a way that a lot of Budva accommodations don’t anymore. You’re staying where locals might actually live, not in some sterile tourist complex. The building has that slightly weathered Balkan charm, and your neighbors are probably Montenegrins going about their daily lives rather than other tourists. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak season (July and August get absolutely crazy), but there’s usually something within a block or two if you’re patient. The walk to Slovenska Beach takes about five minutes, and you’re even closer to some of the smaller, less crowded spots where locals swim. I mean, Budva’s beaches get packed, but if you know where to look – and staying here puts you in position to explore – you can find your own little corner of coastline. The 10-star rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point; it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what it promises to be, and sometimes that’s worth more than all the fancy amenities in the world.
