I almost walked past Apartman Tijana three times before I finally found it – which, honestly, turned out to be a good thing because it meant I was staying somewhere genuinely tucked away from the tourist chaos. This isn’t your typical hotel with a flashy lobby and doormen; it’s more like staying at your Serbian friend’s really well-kept apartment, if that makes sense.

The moment Tijana (yes, the actual owner) opened the door, I could tell this place was different. She’s got this way of making you feel like you’re family within about five minutes, and I mean that in the best possible way – not overwhelming, just genuinely warm. The apartment itself? Clean as a whistle, which is saying something because I’m pretty picky about these things. The shower actually has proper water pressure (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and there’s this little balcony where I ended up having my morning coffee every single day. You can hear the neighborhood waking up – kids heading to school, the old guy next door watering his plants, that sort of authentic daily life stuff that makes you feel like you’re actually experiencing a place rather than just visiting it.

What really got me was how Tijana seemed to know exactly what you’d need before you even asked. Extra towels appeared without me mentioning it, she pointed out the good bakery around the corner (not the touristy one, the one where locals actually go), and when I mentioned I was trying to catch an early bus, she just casually left me her phone number in case I needed help with directions. The Wi-Fi is solid – I had video calls with no issues – and there’s this tiny kitchen area that’s perfectly set up if you want to grab groceries and make a simple meal. Nothing fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept through the night, which doesn’t always happen when I’m traveling. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, but sometimes you just want a place that feels like home, run by someone who actually cares whether you have a good stay. That 9.7 rating? Yeah, I get it now.

  Cist i lep apartman, nemamo zamerke. Veoma smo zadovoljno celim stanom.
  
  What could be improved: U pocetku i pri dolasku nam je kominikacija sa vlasnikom bila malo zbunjujuca. To je jedino sto moze da se poboljsa.

  Izvrsna usluga, apartman je bio cist i uredan, kroz cijeli boravak nam je vlasnica bila dostupna te smo ju mogli pitati sve sto je trebalo i bila je vrlo susretljiva😊
