Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Apartmani Alexandra on Žrtava fašizma street – the location seemed a bit tucked away from Budva’s main tourist chaos, which actually turned out to be perfect. You know that sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to everything but far enough to actually sleep at night? That’s exactly what this place delivers.

The apartments themselves have that lived-in comfort that beats sterile hotel rooms every time. I mean, you’ve got proper kitchenettes (not those sad mini-fridges with a hot plate), decent-sized bathrooms, and – here’s the thing that surprised me – really solid WiFi throughout. The owner, Alexandra, clearly gets that people want space to spread out after a day of wandering Budva’s old town or dealing with the beach crowds at Slovenska Plaza. The furnishing isn’t Instagram-worthy or anything, but it’s genuinely comfortable, and honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring Montenegro’s coast, that matters way more than fancy throw pillows. What really sold me was the practical stuff nobody talks about in those glossy hotel descriptions. Parking is actually manageable here – not guaranteed easy, but you’re not circling the block for twenty minutes like you would closer to the old town walls. The walk to Budva’s center takes maybe eight minutes if you’re strolling, five if you’re eager to grab coffee at one of the spots near the marina. And here’s local knowledge for you: there’s this little bakery about three blocks away that opens ridiculously early and makes these incredible burek pastries that’ll fuel your entire morning.

The 8.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here a few days. It’s not luxury, but it delivers on everything that actually matters when you’re using Budva as a base to explore places like Kotor or even day-trip to Dubrovnik. The apartments stay cool even during those brutal July afternoons (trust me on this one), and you can hear the distant hum of the town without feeling like you’re sleeping in the middle of a nightclub district. I’d definitely book here again – especially if you’re the type who values having your own space and appreciates being just slightly off the beaten path without sacrificing convenience.

  Great apartment. The owners are really nice and helpful. A guaranteed parking place is a must-have in Budva. During our one week stay we had our towels and sheets exchanged for fresh ones which was a nice surprise. The room is clean and has all the essentials.

  Perfect. I needed somewhere for 1 night only and booked very last minute. Great host, very clean and everything you need. Great location and with the added bonus of a few parking spaces on site it really was a great find for me. I'll definitely return as often need somewhere for a night or two.
