The beach is maybe a seven-minute walk downhill, and trust me, after spending days on those crowded Budva beaches, having this quieter stretch of coast feels like finding a secret. Plus, there’s parking right on-site, which anyone who’s driven along the Montenegrin coast will tell you is worth its weight in gold. The hillside location provides natural privacy and stunning views.

The Apartment Experience

My room — well, apartment really — had everything I actually needed without trying to be something it wasn’t. The kitchen was properly equipped (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), which meant I could grab fresh produce from the local market and make breakfast while watching the sunrise over the Adriatic. The balcony became my favorite spot for evening wine, looking out over the olive groves toward the sea. It’s clean, comfortable, and has that lived-in feeling that makes you relax immediately. Here’s what I learned during my stay: Rafailovići has this perfect rhythm that bigger resort towns have lost. There’s a handful of excellent seafood places within walking distance — the locals actually eat at them, which tells you everything. The Čukić family knows the area inside and out, and they’re genuinely helpful about everything from the best beach spots to where to catch the bus to Kotor. I actually ended up extending my stay because the whole experience felt more authentic than the polished resort scene down the coast. Their local knowledge transforms your visit into a genuine cultural experience.

Look, this isn’t fancy accommodation, but it’s something better — it’s real and genuine. The 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you’re here. Couples especially seem to get it (they rated the location 9.5, apparently), probably because there’s something romantic about having your own little apartment with a view, away from the hotel crowds. The value is exceptional, the location gives you the best of both worlds, and the Čukić family treats you like you’re staying with friends rather than just passing through.   Owners are super kind. There is a beautiful view and it's close to the beach. The apartment had washing machine, refrigerator and a small cook. There is a bus stop near by.

  Andjela is very nice and available. The accommodation is quiet and has good quality/price balance. There is free parking.
  
  What could be improved: The apartments are actually on top of a hill, and it is a bit far from the beach. In addition, there was an unpleasant smell of humidity when we entered our apartment.

  Hosts were very helpful. Apartment superb and tastefully decorated, free WiFi, cooker available to cook like home. Host gave us a lift to our last adventure in the old town, borrowed us an adaptor to charge our phones as we forgot to bring one along.
  
  What could be improved: Almost nothing except no shower gel in the shower🙂 and the TV programs only shows local channels not child friendly at all.
  The apartment was also located on a hill top so it's steep climbing up the apartments, but that didn't really count as we loved it bcos it's close to the beaches just few minutes walk to 3 nearby beaches.
