You know what caught me off guard about Apartmani Čukić? I was expecting just another generic apartment rental in Rafailovići, but this place actually has some serious character. The moment you walk in, there’s this lived-in warmth that you don’t get with those sterile hotel chains — I mean, you can tell the Čukić family really gives a damn about their guests. The apartments themselves are honestly better maintained than most 4-star places I’ve stayed at along the Montenegrin coast, which explains that impressive 9.1 rating (and trust me, Balkan travelers don’t hand out high scores easily).

What really sets this place apart is how perfectly it captures that authentic Adriatic vibe without trying too hard. The rooms have this wonderful mix of traditional touches and modern comfort — you’ll find hand-woven textiles alongside reliable WiFi and proper air conditioning, which honestly saved my life during that brutal July heat wave. The kitchenettes are actually functional too, not those sad excuse-for-cooking spaces you usually get. I ended up making morning coffee there every day while watching the early fishermen head out from the harbor below. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, and here’s something nobody mentions but matters — the water pressure is excellent, which if you’ve traveled through the Balkans, you know is basically winning the lottery.

Location-wise, you’re getting the best of both worlds here. Rafailovići sits right between the party madness of Budva and the scenic charm of Sveti Stefan, so you can walk to incredible beaches without dealing with the cruise ship crowds that descend on the more famous spots. The locals at the nearby konoba will remember your name by day three, and honestly, some of my best travel memories happened just wandering the narrow streets behind the apartments at sunset. The Čukićs seem to know everyone in town too — they helped me find this amazing family-run restaurant tucked away in the hills that I never would’ve discovered otherwise. Parking can get a bit tight during peak season (July and August are absolutely bonkers), but there’s usually space if you’re not too picky about walking an extra five minutes. The only real downside? You might hear some nighttime chatter from the terrace bars down the hill, but honestly, it just adds to the Mediterranean atmosphere. For the price point and that genuine hospitality you can’t fake, this place delivers way more than those flashy resorts charging twice as much.

  Owners are super kind. There is a beautiful view and it's close to the beach. The apartment had washing machine, refrigerator and a small cook. There is a bus stop near by.

  Hosts were very helpful. Apartment superb and tastefully decorated, free WiFi, cooker available to cook like home. Host gave us a lift to our last adventure in the old town, borrowed us an adaptor to charge our phones as we forgot to bring one along.
  
  What could be improved: Almost nothing except no shower gel in the shower🙂 and the TV programs only shows local channels not child friendly at all.
  The apartment was also located on a hill top so it's steep climbing up the apartments, but that didn't really count as we loved it bcos it's close to the beaches just few minutes walk to 3 nearby beaches.

  What could be improved: Unfortunately didn't like for holiday at Montenegro.
  Nature in Montenegro is absolutely fabulous but everywhere lots of rubbish.
  Country not friendly for tourists.

  Andjela is very nice and available. The accommodation is quiet and has good quality/price balance. There is free parking.
  
  What could be improved: The apartments are actually on top of a hill, and it is a bit far from the beach. In addition, there was an unpleasant smell of humidity when we entered our apartment.
