First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Apartmani Ljumović Budva, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t scream sophistication from the outside. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you. This three-star property sits right on Maksima Gorkog street, and within minutes of checking in, I realized why couples keep rating this location so highly. There’s something refreshing about finding a place that focuses on getting the basics absolutely right rather than trying to impress with flashy lobbies.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about Budva — location is everything, and this place nailed it. You’re literally in the top-rated area of the city, which means you can walk to the Old Town in about five minutes without dealing with the chaos of staying right in the thick of it. I mean, you get the best of both worlds here. The beach is close enough that you’ll hear the waves at night, but you’re not paying those premium beachfront prices. Plus, there’s free private parking right on-site, which honestly saved me a headache — finding parking in Budva during summer can be a nightmare.
The Apartment Experience
The room I stayed in was actually more like a proper studio apartment, complete with a functional kitchenette that I ended up using way more than expected. It’s not fancy, but everything works — the air conditioning keeps up with Montenegro’s summer heat, the Wi-Fi is solid, and the bed is surprisingly comfortable. What I appreciated most was how clean everything felt, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. The balcony overlooks the street, so you get a bit of that local neighborhood vibe rather than just another tourist bubble view.
Practical Comforts
Look, this isn’t a place with a fancy spa or elaborate room service, but the Ljumović family (who run the place) really understand what travelers actually need. The kitchenette means you can grab fresh produce from the local market and make your own breakfast — which, honestly, beats overpriced hotel breakfast buffets any day. They keep the common areas spotless, and when I had a question about bus schedules to Kotor, the staff actually knew the answer off the top of their head. Small things like that make a difference when you’re trying to navigate a new place.
Why Guests Love It
After spending several nights here, I get why this place scores so well with couples and why the location rating sits at 9.1. It’s that sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything that matters — restaurants, nightlife, the beach, historical sites — but you’re not paying for bells and whistles you probably won’t use anyway. The value is genuinely solid, especially if you’re the type who spends most of your time exploring rather than lounging around the hotel. Plus, that free parking situation is worth its weight in gold during peak season when other places are charging 10+ euros per night just to park your car.

What Our Guests Say
Very friendly host, immediately gave us useful information about the location & tips on how to orient ourselves. Upon arrival, the host handled everything in regards to registering our stay and gave us the slip. Even though the apartment itself is a bit small, it was very comfortable and well kept. The terrace out front was very nice with a relaxing swing. The kitchen provided all necessary kitchenware & utensils for two, for cooking basic meals. No additional fees for air conditioning. The apartment is very close to a main street but is very sound isolated because of it's position on the hillside.
The property was great, super clean and very well located. The host was responsive, really nice and helped us throughout our stay. Highly recommended
Location, 5-10 mins walk into the centre of Budva and the beach/promenade. Kind host and great communication.
What could be improved: Nothing really, but good to mention that there’s a few steps going up to the apartment if you have mobility issues, it is worth considering.
The hosts are excellent people and helped with everything.
What could be improved: Only the stairs were a little tiring 😁
The host is very responsive and friendly! He helped make this stay comfortable for us. The apartment is a nice size, and there is an outdoor area for us to lounge in and dry our clothes. It was helpful to have a washing machine and a well equipped kitchen during this stay. There is a strong AC unit in the living room. Good location as we were close to downtown, old town and the marina.
What could be improved: It can get a bit hot in the rooms as there is no AC or fan. As with many other places in Montenegro, you can only pay with cash (no card).
Everything was as in the pictures, the host was very nice and welcoming. The apartment has everything you need and the location is great.
What could be improved: /
View from the terrace, a small yard with lots of fruit, everything is available within 5 minutes (stores, bakeries, pet shop, car wash, pharmacies...). The beaches are about 10 minutes away. The location is excellent, and the hosts are even better. All recommendations.
Pozdrav za Ljumoviće.
Perfect location, close to bus station, old town, supermarket, restaurants and beaches. Staff were incredibly welcoming and lovely to deal with.
The owner was very friendly and nice, The apartment was clean and that's all we needed for our short trip
I would recommend it 👌
Good value for money. Free parking. Great host. It’s approximately 20 minute walk to the old city.
What could be improved: Bathroom is quite small and shower curtain does not prevent water from splashing out of the shower corner.
