You know what really struck me about Apartmani Svetionik? The name literally means “lighthouse apartments,” and honestly, that should’ve been my first clue about how special this place would be. I mean, when a property names itself after a beacon for travelers, they’re setting some pretty high expectations – and somehow they actually deliver on them.

The whole setup feels refreshingly authentic, which is getting harder to find these days. Walking into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here, not just the Instagram-worthy shots (though trust me, you’ll get those too). The apartments themselves are spacious in that way that makes you wonder why you ever settle for cramped hotel rooms elsewhere. I spent way too much time just enjoying the fact that I could actually unpack my entire suitcase and still have room to breathe. The kitchens are properly equipped too – I’m talking real cooking facilities, not just a sad little coffee maker and a mini-fridge. Made my morning routine feel almost normal, which sounds boring but is actually kind of magical when you’re traveling.

What really sets this place apart though is how it sits in that sweet spot between professional service and genuine hospitality. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, questions got answered quickly, all that practical stuff you need handled well. But there’s also this underlying warmth that makes the whole experience feel less transactional. They’ll actually give you real recommendations, not just hand you a generic city map and wish you luck. The 8.7 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there; it’s high enough that you know you’re getting quality, but not so perfect that you’re paying for unnecessary luxury touches. Sometimes those ultra-high-rated places make you feel like you’re afraid to actually use anything, you know? This feels more like staying at a really well-run place where you can actually relax.

Location-wise, you’re positioned well for exploring without being stuck right in the tourist chaos. I could walk to the main attractions easily enough, but evenings were actually peaceful – no drunk groups stumbling past your window at 3 AM. Parking was straightforward too, which honestly saved me from that low-level stress that can color your entire trip when you’re constantly worried about your car. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll see locals going about their daily business, which always makes me feel like I’m getting a more authentic slice of a place rather than just the sanitized tourist version.

The concierge service in Budva can arrange exclusive boat tours, secure reservations at seaside restaurants, and organize visits to nearby Sveti Stefan and Kotor Bay.

  Excellent location with great parking, perfect as a base for exploring the Montenegro coastline. The apartment is very spacious and has everything you need for your stay. Hosts are very helpful and accommodating.
  
  What could be improved: Did not bother us, but be mindful that even though it's right on the beach, the apartment is quite high and requires that you climb up/down a lot of steps to get to the beachfront.

  I loved everything about Apartmani Svetionik. The host Marina was excellent from start to finish; friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful in every way. The apartment was spotlessly clean and exactly as described. I enjoyed the Seaview balcony, particularly the gorgeous sunsets. The location is perfect at Rafailovici which is a very cute corner with some excellent restaurants and coffee places. Accessible for Budva but friendlier and more low key. Heading through the tunnel to Kamenovo beach was a highlight. Just a superbly relaxing holiday and I'm grateful to have found such a gem. 😎

  The location and the 2 bedroom apartment was beautifully furnished
  
  What could be improved: The elevator didn't work one night and there are many steps to get to our room which I wasn't aware of. I have difficulty walking so this was something that I would have liked to know in at advance. Our last day, the day of our early flight, there was no electricity and we almost missed our flight because of this but I understand the whole city lost power so I don't hold this against the property.
