Honestly, when I first pulled up to Apartman Siv in Prijevor, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – the address just says “bb” which is pretty typical for Montenegro, but it basically means you’re going to be doing some looking around. The thing is, once you actually find this place tucked away in the Prijevor area, you realize that’s kind of the point. You’re getting that authentic Budva experience without being right in the thick of the tourist madness down by Slovenska Plaza.

What really struck me about this spot is how it hits that sweet spot between being accessible and being peaceful. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk into central Budva when you want the restaurant scene or nightlife – it’s maybe a 15-minute stroll, 20 if you’re taking your time and stopping for photos of those medieval walls. But back at the apartment, you actually get some quiet in the evenings, which honestly is worth its weight in gold during peak season when the coastal strip can get pretty intense. The owner clearly knows what they’re doing too – check-in was straightforward, none of that “meet me at a random café with a red umbrella” situation you sometimes get with smaller places.

You know what I appreciated most though? The practical stuff just works. There’s proper parking (and if you’ve driven in Montenegro, you know that’s not something to take for granted), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the apartment itself feels like someone actually lives in places like this, not like it was designed by committee. The 8.5 rating makes total sense when you consider you’re getting solid three-star comfort without three-star prices – or three-star crowds. The locals in Prijevor are genuinely friendly too, probably because they’re not dealing with tour groups marching past their front doors all day. There’s a little bakery nearby where you can grab fresh burek in the morning, and the woman who runs it will remember your order by day three, which is such a nice touch after bouncing around more touristy spots. If you’re the type who wants to experience Montenegro more like how people actually live here – close enough to everything but not on top of it – this place delivers on that promise without making you feel like you’re roughing it.
