The apartment itself is refreshingly straightforward – clean lines, comfortable furniture that doesn’t try too hard, and everything you actually need without the clutter. I mean, the kitchen setup is proper functional, not just some tiny kitchenette thrown in as an afterthought. The host clearly gets what travelers want because there are thoughtful touches everywhere… good wifi (actually good, not the usual “we have wifi” nonsense), decent water pressure, and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays at night – even during peak season, you’re not dealing with the street noise that plagues so many places closer to the marina.

The location is sort of perfect if you think about it. You’re close enough to walk to Slovenska Beach when you want that morning swim, but far enough from the nightclub strip that you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM. There’s a small market just down the road where locals shop – always a good sign – and the parking situation is way less stressful than what you’ll find in central Budva. I actually ended up loving the slightly residential feel because you get glimpses of how Montenegrins actually live, not just the tourist-facing version of the city. The building itself has that solid Balkan construction feel, and the family running it treats you like… well, like family, but the kind that respects your space. It’s a 3-star place that punches well above its weight class, honestly. For the price point and that 9-rating from other guests, it makes total sense – sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t try to be everything to everyone.
