Jula – that most tourists completely miss, but honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from all the Old Town chaos, but when you come back at night, there’s none of that thumping music or drunk crowds stumbling around outside your window. The building itself looks pretty unassuming from the street (I actually walked past it twice the first time), but once you’re inside, it’s got this unexpectedly cozy garden courtyard that makes the whole “Garden” part of the name click into place.

The apartments themselves are solid – nothing fancy, but everything you actually need is there and it works. I stayed in one of the units facing the courtyard, and honestly, waking up to that little green space instead of concrete was a nice touch. The kitchen setup is better than most places in this price range, which matters if you’re planning to grab fresh stuff from the market rather than eating out every single meal. And speaking of the market – there’s this local produce stand about two blocks down toward the water that locals use, way better prices than the tourist spots near the marina. The AC worked well during that brutal July heat wave, though you can hear it cycling on and off if you’re a light sleeper. Check-in was straightforward, no drama, and the woman managing the place spoke decent English and actually gave me useful tips about parking (which, let’s be real, is a nightmare in Budva during summer).

What really makes this place work is the location without the location headaches, if that makes sense. You’re close enough to walk to Slovenska Beach in maybe eight minutes, and the Old Town walls are right there when you want them, but you’re not paying Old Town prices or dealing with Old Town noise levels. I could actually sleep past 7 AM here, which is saying something during peak season. The 8.5 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, but it delivers on the basics really well and gives you that local neighborhood feel that’s getting harder to find in Budva. Plus, there’s a decent bakery practically next door that opens early, and trust me, their burek is worth getting up for.

Early hotels booking in Budva requires advance planning during peak summer seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned beaches and vibrant nightlife.
