Honestly, when I first walked up to Apartment Kovacevic, I wasn’t sure what to expect – you know how these apartment-style places can be hit or miss. But stepping through that door on Petra Prvog Petrovica, I immediately got why this place has such a stellar 9.2 rating. The location is just ridiculous in the best way possible. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Budva’s Old Town, surrounded by those gorgeous medieval stone walls that you see in all the postcards.

What really struck me was how quiet it actually gets at night, despite being right in the thick of things. During the day, sure, you’ll hear the chatter of tourists wandering the cobblestone streets and maybe some music drifting from the nearby cafes, but once evening settles in – well, it’s surprisingly peaceful. The apartment itself feels like someone’s home rather than a sterile hotel room, which I loved. There’s this authentic Montenegro vibe throughout, with traditional touches that don’t feel forced or touristy. The owners clearly know what they’re doing; everything from the check-in process to the little local recommendations they slip you feels genuinely thoughtful.

You’re going to be spoiled for choice when it comes to food – honestly, some of the best seafood restaurants in Budva are practically at your doorstep. I’d stumble out in the morning for coffee and end up discovering these tiny family-run places tucked into corners I never would have found if I’d stayed in one of those big resort hotels on the outskirts. And here’s something practical that matters: parking can be a nightmare in Old Town during peak summer months (July and August are absolutely bonkers), but the Kovacevics actually help you figure out the best spots. Plus, if you’re planning to explore beyond Budva – and you should, because Kotor is only about 20 minutes away – having this central base makes everything so much easier. The whole experience feels less like staying in accommodation and more like having local friends who happen to have a really nice place in the perfect spot. For a 3-star rating, this place punches way above its weight.

Early hotels booking in Budva requires advance planning during peak summer seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned beaches and vibrant nightlife.

  Great location in the heart of the old town. Wonderful patio to hang out on.
  
  What could be improved: It’s a unique floor plan with the kitchen and eating area on the first level, and the living room as well as the two bedrooms and bathroom on the second level. The living room is removed from the normal flow of the unit and thus we hardly ever went in there

  The apartments are located in the very centre of the old town of Budva. There are a lot of tourists and restaurants, but despite the liveliness of the area, the thick walls of the old town and good windows do not let in the noise from the street
  
  What could be improved: The accommodation in the old town has a minus, a taxi, transfer or excursion car cannot get there (500 meters to the nearest pick-up point), and if you plan to rent a car, then this place is definitely not the best

  What could be improved: The airco in the living makes a lot of noises and the airco in the little sleeping room blew hot air instead of cold air.

  The place was a pleasant surprise. We had a Lovely time there for the whole week. In the Middle of the Old Town Budva a small gem as accommodation. All our expectations were met and beyond. The place had a friendly vibe sitting out the porch you were also had the feeling that your a part of the night life of Budva. Everything is really close to the apartment food drink beaches. The Beds were really nice and all Air-conditioning units worked perfectly. There are really good places to have breakfast also nearby just arms reach.
  
  What could be improved: Some Windows were hard to Open/Close nothing we could not fix but others might not be as patient.
