Apartment La Piedra Budva
Apartment La Piedra Budva
Look, I'll be honest – when I first walked up to Apartment La Piedra, I almost missed it entirely.
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Apartment La Piedra, I almost missed it entirely. It’s tucked right into the thick of Budva’s Old Town on Stjepana Mitrova Ljubiše street, and from the outside it just looks like another one of those ancient stone buildings that make up the medieval walls. But that’s actually the whole point, you know? You’re literally staying inside the old town fortifications, which means you can stumble out your door at 7 AM and have the narrow cobblestone streets pretty much to yourself before the cruise ship crowds descend.
The apartment itself surprised me – and I mean that in the best way possible. Sure, it’s officially a 3-star place, but honestly, whoever’s running this spot clearly gives a damn about the details. The stone walls are original (you can feel the history in them), but everything else has been thoughtfully updated without going overboard with that sterile renovation vibe you get in so many places. The kitchen actually works – I’m talking proper coffee setup, decent cookware, the kind of stuff you need if you’re planning to grab fresh fish from the market near Slovenska Plaža and cook it yourself. Speaking of which, that market is maybe a three-minute walk away, right along with about fifteen little konobas where locals actually eat.
What really sold me on this place, though, was the balcony situation. You can sit out there in the evening with a glass of that local Vranac wine and watch the entire social theater of Old Town unfold below you. The restaurant servers calling out orders, tourists trying to navigate the maze of streets with their phones, old Montenegrin guys playing chess by the Citadela – it’s like having front-row seats to the whole show. And here’s the thing about staying right in the heart of it all: yes, it gets lively (especially in July and August), but the stone walls are thick enough that you’re not going to lose sleep over it. I was there during peak season and slept fine. The only real downside? Forget about parking anywhere nearby – you’ll want to use one of the lots outside the old town and just walk in with your bags. But honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need a car anyway. The beach is right there, the restaurants are right there, and if you want to explore the coastal road toward Sveti Stefan, the local buses run pretty regularly from the main square. That 9.6 rating isn’t just because people are being nice – this place genuinely delivers on what it promises, which is rare enough these days to be worth mentioning.
The concierge service in Budva can arrange exclusive boat tours, secure reservations at seaside restaurants, and organize visits to nearby Sveti Stefan and Kotor Bay.

Exceptional
Amazing location, clean, modern and comfortable - would highly recommend! Amazing location, in the heart of the old town, and very close to multiple beautiful beaches! Clean, modern and comfortable! Although we never actually met the host, they very always available via phone and extremely helpful and flexible. Would definitely recommend this place for your stay in Budva!
Ottima sistemazione super strategica per la posizione Host ca uno è disponibile !! Bellissimo appartamento nel centro della città vecchia
What could be improved: tutto perfetto
Great apartment in a charming location We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The location couldn’t be better – you’re surrounded by charming stone streets, cafes, and the sea, yet the apartment itself is incredibly quiet and peaceful. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the space was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Contact with the host was smooth and easy and we really appreciated the flexible check-in and check-out times, which made our trip even more convenient. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, clean, and comfortable place to stay!
What could be improved: Just keep in mind that food prices in the Old Town tend to be quite high, so we usually walked a bit outside the walls to find more affordable options.
What could be improved: Було б добре, якби була пральна машинка, нам її не вистачало, особливо коли орендувати приміщення на великий термін. Потрібний ремонт індукційної плити.
Budva’daki eviniz Ev tam olarak fotoğraflardaki gibi; hatta belki fazlası.. Resmen kendi evimizde hissettik… Old town’un en güzel yerinde ve denize de bir dakika uzaklıkta.
Old town pub; hemen yanında güzel butik bir restoranla yanyana, istediğiniz her şeye dakikalar içindee ulaşabiliyorsunuz.

It was great value for money! Highly recomend it if you want to explore Montenegro during the day! I like how it’s located in the Old town. Everything is accesible, peaceful too, I was expecting some noise, but surprisingly, the place is sound proof.
What could be improved: Good do with more beddings, although I’m sure that it would be provided if I asked.
