Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Apartment Lucky? The name is honestly perfect – because stumbling across this gem tucked away on Petra I Petrovica is exactly that, pure luck. I mean, you’re literally steps from the ancient stone walls of Budva’s Old Town, but somehow this little street stays surprisingly quiet even when the main squares are packed with tourists doing their evening stroll.

The building itself has that slightly weathered Mediterranean charm that actually works in its favor – none of that sterile hotel polish that makes you feel like you can’t touch anything. When I walked up to check in, I could hear the faint sounds of café chatter drifting over from Njegoševa Street, but once you’re inside, it’s peaceful enough to actually get some sleep (which, honestly, isn’t always a given when you’re staying this close to Old Town’s nightlife). The apartment I stayed in had these wonderfully thick walls – you know, the kind that keep things cool during those brutal July afternoons when the Adriatic sun is relentless. There’s something about the way the light filters through the windows in the late afternoon that just feels… well, like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

What really makes this place work is how it sits right in that sweet spot between being in the heart of everything and having your own little retreat. Walk five minutes in one direction and you’re at the Citadela with those incredible sunset views over the bay. Head the other way and you’ll hit Slovenska Plaža – though honestly, if you’re staying here, you’re probably more interested in the tiny hidden beaches tucked between the rocks near the Old Town walls. The apartment itself feels lived-in in the best way possible, with practical touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The kitchen setup is simple but functional (perfect for those morning coffees before the town wakes up), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. Sure, it’s not fancy – this is a solid 3-star spot that knows exactly what it is – but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The 9 rating it’s earned makes complete sense once you spend a night or two here. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because leaving feels unnecessarily complicated.

Hotels in Budva offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Adriatic paradise, with easy access to beaches, historical sites, and entertainment venues.

What could be improved: Slow wi-fi

  • Exceptional – Aleksandar from Germany – August 17, 2024 (10/10)

    Location top!!

  • Perfect location, amazing hospitality! – Daria from Serbia – July 3, 2024 (9/10)

Adnan is an exceptional host, very helpful and polite, easy in communication and ready to solve any arising issues. Thank you for making us feel totally at home as if we were actual friends or relatives!
The location is what you'd be looking for: right at the heart of the old town, literally 3 mins from the beach. And I loved the terrace!

What could be improved: It was no issue for me since I sleep like a log, but light sleepers may be disturbed by the noise from the nearby bar (which, I guess, is inevitable in most places in the old town).

  • A cozy spot in the center of the Old Town – Alejandro from Serbia – June 18, 2023 (9/10)

The host is super nice, the location is simply the best, and the terrace is 😋😋.

  • awesome stay in budva 💘 – Milagros from Argentina – September 21, 2022 (10/10)

the host was really nice and helpful, we liked thst the apartment had washing machine and the location was great

  • The apartment met our needs with great location – Stuart from United Kingdom – June 5, 2025 (8/10)

    Great location and balcony

What could be improved: The facilities were a little dated

  • Wonderful – Paula from United Kingdom – August 27, 2024 (9/10)

    Excellent location

What could be improved: I had to pay in cash and wasn’t aware of this until arrival. This meant I had to do 3 separate withdrawals and each charged 6 euros. The exchange rate from the cash machines had a high conversion rate so it turned out to be the equivalent in euros as it was in pounds so over £140 more for us to pay in cash

  • Disappointing – Korcan from Netherlands – July 25, 2023 (4/10)

The location in the heart of Budva old town, the terrace, and the shower.

What could be improved: This is essentially a budget place charging premium prices. There is no real bed, just a sofa bed which was not very comfortable. There were no body towels, only face towels. There were no real windows, just metal doors with adjustable shades. They open to the terrace which is shared with another apartment, so getting light and air into the room means compromising privacy. The room was very small, hardly has space for two to sit. There is a makeshift desk on the wall which looked like half-broken. The place was not very dirty but not very clean either, there were items of previous guests in the fridge. The wifi did not work well. All of these would not be a big issue if the price matched the quality of the place, but as it is it is very poor value for money.

  • Bad – Erikson from Albania – July 22, 2023 (1/10)

The location was great, close to the beaches and facilities.

What could be improved: The studio flat wasnt cleaned properly. We had to wash pillows and bedsheets because were full of stains and smelled bad. No body towels at all, just some face towels provided. Nothing was as in the pics. No beds, only mattreses put on top of some sofas, that were really uncomfortable to sleep on. We booked this flat because our son is a picky eater, so we can cook smth, but all cutlieries and dishes were rustly, smelly and old, so we ended up eating out all the time.

  • Exceptional – Zivanov from Serbia – July 20, 2025 (10/10)
