So I ended up at Apartment Maritime Budva during what turned out to be one of those perfect Montenegro trips where everything just clicks. Honestly, when I first walked up to the building, I wasn’t sure what to expect – it’s got that slightly weathered coastal look that could go either way, you know? But once you’re inside, the whole vibe shifts. The apartments are clean and surprisingly spacious, with these big windows that actually open properly (you’d be amazed how many places skimp on that). The maritime theme isn’t overdone either – just enough nautical touches to remind you you’re by the Adriatic without feeling like you’re sleeping in a boat museum.

What really sold me on this place was how it sits in Budva’s rhythm. You’re close enough to hear the gentle hum of the old town in the evenings – not the crazy party noise, but that pleasant soundtrack of people enjoying themselves at the waterfront restaurants. I mean, you can walk to the main beaches in about ten minutes, maybe fifteen if you’re dragging your feet and stopping for coffee along the way. The apartment I stayed in had a little kitchenette that actually worked (the stovetop gets hot, the fridge keeps things cold – basic stuff that sometimes isn’t so basic), which saved me a fortune since eating out every meal in Budva can add up fast during peak season.

The staff really knows their stuff about the area too. When I mentioned wanting to avoid the cruise ship crowds at the main beach, the woman at reception immediately suggested hitting Mogren Beach early morning or late afternoon, and she was absolutely right. There’s also this tiny market just around the corner where locals shop – she pointed that out too, and their produce was incredible. Look, it’s a three-star place with an 8.6 rating for good reason – it delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment, the shower has decent pressure, and parking… well, parking in Budva is always an adventure, but they’ve got a few spots that you can usually snag if you’re not arriving during the absolute madness of July and August. I’d definitely stay here again, especially during shoulder season when Budva shows its more relaxed side and you can really appreciate having a comfortable base that doesn’t break the bank.

The concierge service in Budva can arrange exclusive boat tours, secure reservations at seaside restaurants, and organize visits to nearby Sveti Stefan and Kotor Bay.

  I recently stayed at this apartment and had a fantastic experience! The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beautiful sea and local attractions. The apartment itself was immaculate and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The decor is modern and inviting, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The host was attentive and provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient seaside getaway!)))

  The property has a great location it is near the beach, the farms and different markets and restaurants. The apartment has all what you need for holiday from plates, cooking utensils dish washer vacuum, washing machine etc. The city manager is very helpful she would help anytime with all what we need. I would absolutely book again the same apartment once we visit Budva again.
  
  What could be improved: There was a humidity smell coming from the toilet I believe the fan was not working properly.

  What could be improved: The host was like in a hurry and didn’t speak English well, I thought that I payed for parking and they charged me 50 euro extra and also 15 euro for city taxes which never happened to me to pay city taxes in Budva even it’s the 10th time i stay there but in different apartments and didn’t provide me with cards that we paid city taxes in case that something happens and I have a prove that we paid city taxes, I like to think that it was all a misunderstanding since I really enjoy my stay in this city and never had something to complain.

  Good location. Swallows' nest on the balcony (although this meant that the floor of the balcony was covered in bird ****)
  
  What could be improved: The initial disappointment occurred when we found the sink clogged and water wouldn't drain, leading to an unexpected cleanup task before starting our vacation. The oversight of this basic issue during apartment preparation for rental was puzzling.
  
  Further issues arose with mold in the shower stall and a generally dirty apartment floor.
  
  The provided Internet password was incorrect, initially blamed on my input error until a face-to-face meeting with the host revealed that it was changed without notification.
  
  Lack of a clothes dryer on the balcony resulted in a fruitless request to the cleaning lady.
  
  We asked several times for an additional key, which we had agreed upon with the owner of the apartment in advance, but we were assured that we could use a safe to store the keys with a code that the host himself gave us.
  
  The most distressing discovery came just before departure when money and a valuable silver cross went missing from the nightstand. The host, citing the fact that he had just arrived from Belgrade, refused to help with calling the police. I tried to do it myself, but I was unable to explain the situation over the phone due to my poor knowledge of the local language. I just couldn't understand what they were asking me in response.
  
  It is important to note that the owner of the property offered to go to the police together this coming Sunday, but I am afraid that this will not be successful after so much time has passed.
  
  In conclusion, I feel compelled to caution others against renting this property due to these numerous issues that significantly spoiled our vacation experience.
