Honestly, when I first pulled up to Apartment Maska, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place – but man, was I wrong about this one. The building itself has this understated charm that you don’t really notice until you’re inside, and then everything just clicks. I mean, I’m usually the person who brings earplugs everywhere because I’m such a light sleeper, but I actually didn’t need them here. The rooms have this solid, settled feel – thick walls, I guess, or maybe just good design. And the staff… well, they’re not overly chatty, but they seem to anticipate what you need before you ask. Check-in was maybe three minutes, tops. The woman at the front desk just handed me the key and said “fourth floor, elevator’s around the corner” like she already knew I’d figure out the rest. Which I did, and it was refreshing not to get the whole spiel about breakfast hours and WiFi passwords.

The room itself surprised me – it’s bigger than you’d expect, with these nice touches that feel personal rather than corporate. There’s actual art on the walls (not those generic hotel prints), and the bed… honestly, I slept better than I do at home. The bathroom’s compact but functional, with water pressure that actually works and towels that don’t feel like sandpaper. What I loved most, though, was the little sitting area by the window. Perfect for morning coffee or just watching people go about their day outside. You can tell this place gets a lot of repeat visitors – there’s that lived-in comfort that only comes when people actually want to come back. The 9.8 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there.
