Hotel Description
You know what? I almost walked right past Apartment Melani when I first arrived in Budva – it’s tucked along Jadranski put in this quiet residential stretch that honestly feels more like where locals actually live than where tourists usually end up. But that turned out to be exactly why I loved it.
The building itself is pretty typical for Montenegro, nothing fancy on the outside, but once you’re inside it’s clear someone actually cares about this place. The apartments are way more spacious than you’d expect for a 3-star spot, and I mean properly spacious – not just “European spacious” where you can barely open your suitcase. Mine had this little balcony that caught the morning sun perfectly, which became my coffee spot every day. The kitchen was actually functional too, with a proper-sized fridge and everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Franca market down the road instead of eating out every meal (which, let’s be honest, gets expensive in Budva pretty quickly).
What really sold me on the place was how quiet it gets at night. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to the Old Town in about 15 minutes – or 10 if you cut through the little park near the post office – but you’re far enough from Slovenska Plaza and all that beach party chaos that you can actually sleep. During the day you hear normal neighborhood sounds, kids playing, people chatting on their balconies, which I found way more charming than air conditioning units and tour buses. The host, Melani I assume, was genuinely helpful without being overwhelming – she left detailed notes about everything from how to work the slightly temperamental shower (turn the handle left first, then right) to which bakery opens earliest for fresh burek. Speaking of practical stuff, there’s decent parking nearby, though in July and August you might have to circle the block once or twice. The Wi-Fi actually works well, which isn’t always a given in this part of Montenegro, and the whole place stays surprisingly cool even when it’s blazing hot outside – something about the way the building’s positioned and those thick walls. Honestly, for the price and that 8.7 rating, it makes total sense. You’re getting a real taste of how people live in Budva, not just the tourist version of it.
To book hotel in Budva during the famous summer festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts beach enthusiasts and nightlife lovers from around the world.

Great! – Tamara from Serbia – July 14, 2025 (9/10)
It has everything you need, comfy beds, internet was great, nice balcony view.
What could be improved: It can be cleaner.Exceptional – Mladjen from Bosnia and Herzegovina – July 13, 2025 (10/10)
Everything was perfect. Good view, no noise and quick access to the old town.
Great stay, great location, Montenegro is beautiful! – Thomas from China – August 4, 2023 (9/10)
Lovely comfortable little apartment in a good location, a short walk down the hill to the old town and on the main road to Kotor and down the coast. Good, convenient off road road parking. Type in ‘apartment jelusic’ in google maps and park in the car park outside and contact apartment for keys.
Fair – Olivia from Switzerland – July 20, 2023 (5/10)
The location of the apartment is good, short walk to the old town.
What could be improved: Very difficult to find. We had no house number or GPS data. Only the name of the street, which is the main street in Budva and doesn't help at all. We had to contact the host and the person who should be waiting for us. Both didn't really help us. We had 1.5 h to find the place.
We didn't know we had to pay the amount in cash. The person hadn't money to change. So we agreed on leaving the missing 10 € in the apartment the next day. This would have been an useful information in advance.
The apartment is okay, not more. It could be cheaper for what you get – also compared to other apartments in Montenegro in popular places. It wasn't very clean. And people must smoke here inside, which would have been a good information before booking. WiFi password is wrong, the host didn't answer our message which we sent to get the new/correct password.Exceptional – Dimitrije from Serbia – October 6, 2024 (10/10)
– Elena from Estonia – September 23, 2024 (10/10)
Odlično – Petar from Serbia – June 25, 2024 (10/10)
Exceptional – Лена from Ukraine – October 18, 2023 (10/10)
What could be improved: –Very Good – Mateja from Slovenia – September 24, 2023 (8/10)
Lokacija,parkirišče,balkon
Very Good – Juhászné from Hungary – September 3, 2023 (8/10)
