You know what struck me first about this place? It’s one of those apartments that actually lives up to its name – you really are just a few minutes’ walk from Old Town, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re trying to soak up the local atmosphere without constantly hopping in taxis or figuring out public transport.

The building itself is pretty typical for the area – nothing fancy, but solid and well-maintained. I mean, don’t expect marble lobbies or doormen, but the bones are good and it feels safe walking back at night. The apartment has that lived-in quality that I actually prefer over sterile hotel rooms – like someone’s grandmother might pop out of the kitchen offering you tea (she won’t, but you get the vibe). The furnishings are a bit of a mixed bag, honestly – some pieces look recently updated while others seem like they’ve been there since the ’90s, but everything works and it’s surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen is small but functional if you want to grab groceries from the local market and make breakfast instead of hunting for overpriced tourist cafes every morning.

What really sells this place is the location – and I don’t just mean proximity to the main sights. You’re tucked into this neighborhood where actual people live, so you’ll hear church bells in the morning and smell bread baking from the corner bakery. The street can get a bit lively on weekend evenings (nothing crazy, just people heading out for dinner), but it settles down by around eleven. Parking is… well, it’s what you’d expect in an old European city center. Sometimes you get lucky and find a spot right outside, other times you’re circling for twenty minutes. There’s a paid lot about three blocks away that locals use – not marked on tourist maps but ask anyone and they’ll point you there. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me; it’s not perfect but it delivers on what it promises. The shower pressure could be better, and the Wi-Fi occasionally hiccups during peak hours, but these are minor complaints in the grand scheme of things. What you’re really paying for is the chance to live like a local for a few days, walking to that little wine shop the owner recommended, or taking your morning coffee in the small square where old men play chess and pigeons stage their daily crumb raids. It’s the kind of place where you might actually feel sad to pack up and leave.

  The location was good. Comfortable bed and blankets. Supplied with lots of beach towels and bath towels.

  What could be improved: Апартаменты с видом на кладбище, это просто ужасно.
  Фото не соответствуют реальности: на фото всё красиво, а по факту старая квартира, поломаны двери в душевую кабинку, ужасное постельное белье и полотенца, грязная посуда, микроволновку и чайник подключить некуда, ставили их в зале на тумбу.
  Не советую бронировать этот ужас.
