The apartment complex sits close enough to the main beach that you can hear the waves at night – which is either perfect white noise for sleeping or mildly annoying if you’re a light sleeper, depending on your perspective.

What really got me was how the staff here just… gets it. Check-in was smooth, no weird bureaucratic nonsense, and they actually gave useful local tips instead of just handing over a generic tourist map. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – I mean, you’re not getting luxury resort vibes, but everything’s clean, modern, and honestly better maintained than some five-star places I’ve stayed at. The kitchenette actually works (you’d be amazed how often that’s not the case), which is clutch because eating out for every meal in Montenegro can add up, even though the food scene is incredible. There’s decent Wi-Fi throughout, though it can get a bit sluggish during peak evening hours when everyone’s uploading their sunset photos – but that’s pretty standard for this part of the coast.

Here’s the thing that really sealed it for me: the location puts you right in the sweet spot of Petrovac life. You’re a two-minute walk from that gorgeous crescent beach with the little island fortress (seriously, wait until you see it at golden hour), but you’re also close enough to the local konobas where actual Montenegrins eat, not just the tourist traps along the waterfront. The morning coffee ritual at the nearby café becomes part of your routine – trust me on this one. Parking can be a bit of a dance during July and August, but the staff knows all the local tricks and they’ll point you in the right direction. I ended up extending my stay an extra three days because honestly, why rush back to reality when you’ve found a place that just works? It’s got that perfect balance of being comfortable without being stuffy, local without being rough around the edges. Sometimes you just know when you’ve stumbled onto something good.
