Hotel Description
So I stumbled upon Apartment Quince during what was honestly supposed to be just a quick overnight in Budva, and it ended up being one of those pleasant surprises that makes you question why you ever bother with big chain hotels. The place sits in Rozino – which, if you’re not familiar with Budva, is actually this quieter residential area that’s close enough to everything but far enough from the Old Town madness that you can actually sleep at night.
What struck me first was how the owner clearly gets what travelers actually need. I mean, it’s officially a 3-star place, but the attention to detail feels more personal than that rating suggests. The apartment I stayed in had this lived-in comfort – not sterile hotel room vibes, but like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste. The kitchen was properly equipped too (not just a mini-fridge and hope), which saved me a fortune since eating out in Budva every meal can get pretty expensive, especially during summer. There’s something satisfying about grabbing fresh produce from the local market and actually being able to cook it, you know? Plus the Wi-Fi was solid – I know that sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many places still mess that up.
Location-wise, you’re looking at maybe a 15-minute walk to the main beach area, and honestly that’s perfect because you get the best of both worlds. Close enough that you’re not spending half your day commuting, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the late-night party crowds stumbling past your window. I noticed the neighborhood has this authentic Montenegrin feel – actual residents going about their lives, small local shops, that kind of thing. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Montenegro will tell you is not something to take for granted. The whole experience felt refreshingly unrushed – check-in was relaxed, the host actually gave useful local recommendations (not just the tourist traps), and there’s this general sense that they want you to genuinely enjoy your stay rather than just process you through. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your trip, which is probably the best compliment I can give any accommodation.
Budva’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Mediterranean charm and modern comfort, with many featuring sea view terraces and traditional Montenegrin hospitality.
