First Impressions

When I first arrived at Apartment Sandra in Becici, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place — but you know what, sometimes the best surprises come in simple packages. The building sits right in the heart of this quieter stretch of the Montenegrin coast, and there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup. Sandra, the owner, greeted me personally, which immediately set a different tone than those big chain hotels where you’re just another booking number.

The Location Magic

Here’s the thing about Becici that most people don’t realize until they get here — it’s perfectly positioned between the buzzing nightlife of Budva (just a 10-minute walk) and the peaceful beach vibes you actually came for. I mean, you can literally hear the waves from your room, but you’re not dealing with the crowds that pack into Budva’s old town every evening. The local bus stops right outside if you want to explore further up the coast, and there’s a small market about two minutes away where locals actually shop — not just tourist traps.

The Apartment Experience

My apartment was larger than I expected, with a proper balcony that caught the morning sun perfectly. The kitchen isn’t fancy, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab fresh fish from the market and cook it yourself — which, honestly, I’d recommend doing at least once. The air conditioning works well (crucial in summer), and the Wi-Fi is solid enough for video calls back home. What I appreciated most was how clean everything felt, not that sterile hotel clean, but like someone actually cares about the space.

Beach and Neighborhood Life

The beach here is what sold me on the whole area. It’s this gorgeous stretch of pebbles and sand that’s way less crowded than Budva’s main beaches, especially in the mornings. You’ll find a few beach bars scattered along the coast, but nothing too overwhelming. There’s also this little restaurant called Kuzina about five minutes down the road that serves incredible seafood — ask Sandra about it, she’ll point you in the right direction. The whole neighborhood has this laid-back vibe where you’ll see families from Serbia and Bosnia coming for their annual holidays, which gives you a real sense of how locals vacation here.

Why Guests Love It

What really makes Apartment Sandra work is that it feels authentic without trying too hard. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or fancy spas, but you get something better — a genuine slice of Montenegrin coastal life. The parking situation is actually manageable (rare for this area), and Sandra knows everything about the region if you want recommendations beyond the typical tourist spots. Couples seem to especially love this place, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about having your own little space with a sea view, being able to make coffee on your balcony in the morning, then walk to the beach whenever you feel like it. It’s simple, but sometimes simple is exactly what you need.

  What could be improved: Drugog dana boravka u "apartmanu" su otpala vrata frižidera zbog rđe koja je pojela pola "potpuno opremljene kuhinje" kako stoji u opisu objekta. Slično je i sa ostatkom sobe, okrečeno u prošlom vijeku, a stolarija nikad. Sve škripi, od prozora do vrata. Od kreveta su udobnije klupe. Bitno je da su "gazde" okačile fotografije iz uglova gdje sve izgleda dobro, pa uživajte u fotografijama dok ne dođete… Za parking koji je kao "besplatan" snalazite se po okolnim makadamima i pored susjednih objekata. Struju imaju, pa moram reći svaka čast, jer sam se osjećao kao na kraju 19. vijeka, pa eto malo i 20-og na kašiku… Ni vode za piće, ni tv kanala, a i da ima, tv teško da je u boji. Hvala im što nas ni ispratili nisu, nego su se sakrili u svoj apartman koji je bolji, ali ga zato ne možete iznajmiti, iako imaju postavljene fotografije, pa u suštini ne znate ni šta rezervišete. Prijava je do 8h, ali ćete čekati bar do 10 da se smiluju da vas puste, ali zato će vam prije 8 upasti da pitaju kad idete, iako je odjava do 12. Najbolje od svega je što se čude kad im kažete da nešto nije uredu, kao da je normalno spavati na federima i nositi kamenje da obezbjedite sebi "besplatan parking" ili da buditi one koji su sa vama u "apartmanu" samo ako ustanete do kupatila, koje je takođe priča za sebe. Srećan je svako ko ih obiđe.
