It’s tucked away on Proleterske street – and I mean actually tucked away, not like those hotels that claim to be “hidden gems” but sit on the main drag. You’ll walk past it twice before you find the entrance, which is sort of charming once you’re not hauling luggage around in 35-degree heat.

The location is what really makes this place work. You’re about a 7-minute walk from the Old Town walls (I timed it, because I’m weird like that), but far enough from the mayhem that you can actually sleep at night. The beaches are close too – Slovenska Plaza is practically around the corner, though honestly, if you’re willing to walk an extra 10 minutes, Mogren Beach is way better and less crowded, especially in the mornings before the tour groups descend. What I really appreciated was having a proper apartment setup instead of just a hotel room. There’s a little kitchenette that’s actually functional – not one of those sad hotel attempts with a broken mini-fridge and a coffee maker from 1995. I mean, you’re not going to be cooking elaborate meals, but being able to grab groceries from the Franca market (it’s literally two streets over) and make breakfast without paying hotel prices was clutch.

The building itself has that slightly worn Mediterranean charm – think clean and comfortable rather than Instagram-perfect. The air conditioning actually works, which in Montenegro’s summer heat is basically a life-or-death situation. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but there’s street parking if you don’t mind doing a few laps around the block, and honestly, once you’re settled, you won’t need the car much anyway. Everything’s walkable from here. The owners are local and actually helpful – they’ll point you toward the good seafood spots (skip the touristy places near Budva marina and head to where they suggested instead). The WiFi is solid enough for video calls, if you’re one of those people who can’t fully disconnect. I stayed here during shoulder season in late September, and it felt like having my own little slice of Budva without the summer chaos. The apartment stays cool even on hot days, and you can hear the sounds of daily life – kids playing in the courtyard, neighbors chatting on balconies – which made it feel less like a tourist bubble and more like temporary local living. For the price point and that perfect rating other guests have given it, Apartment Shell delivers exactly what it promises: a real place to stay in a real neighborhood, where you happen to be on vacation.

  Отличное расположение,рядом супермаркет,15 минут ходьбы до пляжа,тихий спокойный район. Есть все необходимое для приготовления пищи.
