You know what surprised me most about Apartment Vidar? It’s tucked away in Rafailovici – which honestly, most people just drive through on their way to Budva proper – but that actually ends up being its biggest advantage. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from all the chaos of Budva’s old town and beaches, but when you come back at night, it’s this quietly residential vibe where you can actually sleep without hearing drunk tourists singing until 3 AM.
The place itself feels more like staying at someone’s well-kept family apartment than a typical hotel, which explains that crazy 9.7 rating. The owner clearly lives nearby because everything just… works. Hot water’s consistent (trust me, not a given in Montenegro), the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and there’s this attention to small stuff that you notice – like actually decent hangers in the closet and a coffee setup that’s not just instant packets. Parking was easier than I expected too, though in July and August you’ll want to claim your spot early in the day. The apartment gets morning light but stays cool in the afternoons, probably because of how the building’s positioned – one of those lucky architectural accidents that makes summer stays bearable without running the AC constantly.
What really sold me on the location was discovering that little bakery about two blocks down toward the water – locals line up there around 7 AM for these pastries that are gone by 9, and you’d never find it if you were staying in the main tourist zone. Plus, you’re close enough to walk to Kamenovo Beach when Budva’s main beaches get too crowded, which happens pretty much every weekend from June through September. The walk takes maybe 15 minutes through some residential streets, and honestly, it’s one of those perfect lazy morning strolls where you feel like you’re seeing the real Montenegro, not just the postcard version. For a 3-star place, Apartment Vidar punches way above its weight – it’s the kind of spot you’d recommend to friends who want to experience the area without dealing with resort nonsense or paying resort prices.

lovely place Everything was perfect. The apartment is quite big enough for 4 people. All necessary amenities provided. The best view ever from terrace. Great contact with the owner and Aleksandra who explained everything and took us to the airport. Great restaurants around. Highly recommend:)
What could be improved: Very crowded beaches but in high season it's normal. Small, stony beach in front of the apartment was quiet and enough.

Великолепная и чистая квартира на самом берегу моря,красивый вид с большого балкона ,есть просторная гостиная с кухней ,на которой есть все необходимое для приготовления пищи ,по длинному коридору идет хорошо оборудованная ванная комната,затем маленькая спальня и далее большая спальня с балконом во двор ,есть два кондиционера .В холодильнике был подарок -бутылка белого вина 🌷большое спасибо Александре за гостеприимство и заботу ❤️в этом доме внизу есть хороший ресторан Мадера,вкусно и удобно ,нам все понравилось !
Great apartment with some excellent restaurants very nearby. Facilities in the apartment were very good and the view from the terrace morning and evening was amazing.

Чудове місце для пляжного відпочинку. Комфортна і зручна квартира на самому березі моря, ліфт, широка тераса з видом на море. В квартирі все гарно обладнано. Поряд кілька пляжів, магазини, кафе і ресторани. Є риба і порівняно недорого.
What could be improved: Є проблеми з парковкою біля будинку - дуже багато машин. Але господарі запропонували неподалік (10 хвилин) гараж, вартість 8 євро на добу. Там і захист від сонця, і близько виїзд на дорогу для відвідин пляжів і містечок поблизу.
Exceptional The location, view, amenities and area were wonderful. There were several beaches to choose from within walking distance, lots of restaurants and good food and the apartment was well equipped with everything you could need for relaxing, cooking and enjoying the time there. Alexandra was very helpful and communicated with us promptly. We would definitely go back.
What could be improved: There is lack of parking and it is on a dead end street so getting in and out we're a process. Luckily we managed to get a spot when we arrived and then left the car there for the week because we didn't want to deal with getting in and out or losing the spot.
Apartman s terasom s prekrasnim pogledom na more Moderno uređen apartman s dvije klimatizirane spavaće sobe. Funkcionalna kuhinja sa svim potrebnim uređajima za obitelji. Terasa s pogledom na more i šetnjicu s restoranima očarava i užitak je piti jutarnju kavu ili večerati na njoj. Mala plaža pogodna i za djecu je odmah ispred hotela. Na udaljenost od 400 metara od smještaja je prekrasna plaža Kamenovo do koje se dolazi pješice kroz tunel.
What could be improved: Nedostatak parkirnog mjesta.
Exceptional Najlepše što ovaj apartman nudi nam je bio pogled sa velike terase.
Sam apartman je lepo dizajniran, prostran, čist, sa kompletno opremljenom kuhinjom i 2 klima uređaja koji su bili spas u vreme vrelih dana.
Dve lepe plaže su na par minuta sa jedne strane a sa druge niz restorana na obali mora i mini marketi.
Doček u aparmanu je bio topao i prijatan, kao da smo domaćici apartmana Aleksandri bili dragi prijatelji od ranije.
Iako nam nikakva pomoć nije bila potrebna tokom odmora, bilo je lepo i umirujuće znati da nam je Aleksandra na raspolaganju za sva eventualna pitanja

Great hosts, and our caregiver Alexandra took care of us in every aspect & helped us in every situation if we needed anything. Alexandra has a "heart of gold", she is very polite and nice. She selflessly helped us get to the hospital - she took us because I had a small accident. We wholeheartedly recommend both the apartment and the hosts and caregivers. Thank you!
