Honestly, when I first walked into Grand Palazzo, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the name – it sounds pretty fancy, right? But here’s the thing: it actually lives up to it without being stuffy about it. The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance that immediately puts you at ease, like stepping into a well-appointed friend’s place rather than some intimidating five-star fortress.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between apartment-style comfort and proper hotel service. I mean, you get the space and flexibility of having your own apartment – we’re talking actual kitchenettes in most rooms, not just those sad little coffee makers – but you also get fresh towels and someone to call if the WiFi acts up. The rooms themselves feel genuinely spacious, which is refreshing when you’ve been cramped in those cookie-cutter hotel boxes elsewhere. The furniture’s actually comfortable too (you know how hotel chairs can be weirdly uncomfortable?), and there’s enough natural light that you don’t feel like you’re hiding in a cave.

I stayed there during what seemed like a busy period, and honestly, the staff handled everything smoothly without that rushed, frazzled energy you sometimes get at overbooked places. Check-in was straightforward – no lengthy speeches about amenities I’ll never use. The woman at the front desk actually gave me useful local tips without me having to ask, which tells you something about how they train their people. One thing I particularly appreciated: the soundproofing is surprisingly good. You can hear a bit of street activity if you really listen, but it’s not going to keep you awake unless you’re an incredibly light sleeper. The neighborhood itself has this pleasant residential feel during the day, then comes alive in the evenings without turning into a complete circus – perfect for people-watching from your window with a coffee.

What sets Grand Palazzo apart, though, is all those little details that show someone’s actually thinking about the guest experience. The shower pressure is excellent (seriously, why is this so rare?), there’s adequate lighting for actually reading or working, and they’ve got proper blackout curtains for those of us who can’t sleep with streetlights streaming in. The kitchenette setup means you can grab groceries and make breakfast without having to hunt down an overpriced hotel restaurant every morning, but you’re also close enough to plenty of good local spots when you want to venture out. I found myself extending my stay partly because it just felt comfortable in a way that most hotels don’t manage – like you could actually settle in for a while without feeling like you’re camping out in someone else’s space.

  This property is super clean and very well maintained. There is this beautiful scent when you walk in which is maintained throughout giving it that clean fresh feel. The walls are spotless and there is some shiny marbles pieces in it giving this real luxurious feel. The room was huge and had a private balcony. The swimming pool was opposite my room although I didn’t use it. It was nice that the curfew for the pool was 7pm as to give it some quiet time in the evening. The owner and his family are very nice people and the housekeeping standards in this hotel are very high. There wasn’t one fingerprint on the handrails all the way up to the 5th floor. I loved my stay.
  
  What could be improved: The shower was so small and water went everywhere. It would be good if they could make cubicles and although this means losing some window space it would be more comfortable for the customer to have a dry bathroom floor.

  It was an amazing stay. The owners are kind people and made us feel very welcome. Everything was good. If you want a nice comfortable apartment close enough to the beach area and good restaurants, but far enough of the chaos so you can relax, this should be your option

  Pool on the roof were amazing. We really enjoyed it.

  Beautiful pool on top of the Hotel with a great view over Budva and the mountains. Small hangout area to spend some time or to eat. Very friendly and helpful owner. 5min walking time to the beach.

  Really nice staff! Overall a really nice place to stay.
  
  What could be improved: We booked a room with kitchen and hoped we could make some nice dinner. But there were to much stuff missing – no cutting board and so on.
