Apartments Anita
You know what?
You know what? I almost walked past Apartments Anita on my first visit because it doesn’t scream “look at me” from the street – but honestly, that turned out to be part of its charm. This is one of those places that locals seem to know about but tourists somehow miss, which I mean, works out pretty well for those of us who do find it.
The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The apartments themselves are spacious in a way that makes you forget you’re staying in what’s technically a hotel – I’m talking full kitchens with decent cookware (not those sad little coffee makers most places give you), comfortable seating areas where you can actually spread out, and bedrooms that feel like, well, bedrooms rather than cramped boxes with a bed shoved in. The 4-star rating feels right, though I’d say it punches above its weight in some areas. What really got me was the little touches – proper hangers in the closets, enough outlets near the bed, and windows that actually open properly for some fresh air.
The staff here runs a tight ship without being stuffy about it. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and when I had a question about the best route to avoid the morning traffic (because yes, even vacation spots have rush hour), they knew exactly what I was talking about and gave me the kind of local insight you just can’t Google. Parking is actually manageable too, which anyone who’s driven around busy European streets will tell you is worth mentioning. The building itself is quiet – I mean, you’ll hear some street noise during the day, but nothing that’ll keep you up at night. I stayed during what locals told me was a pretty busy season, and even then it felt peaceful in the evenings.
Here’s the thing about Apartments Anita – it’s got that 8.6 rating because it does the fundamentals really, really well without trying to be something it’s not. The location puts you right in the mix of things without being so central that you’re dealing with crowds every time you step outside. You can walk to the main areas easily enough, but you’re also tucked away enough to feel like you’ve got your own little corner of the place. If you’re the type who wants a pool and a lobby bar and turn-down service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a clean, comfortable base with character and enough space to actually unpack your suitcase – plus the kind of local knowledge from staff that makes a trip memorable – then yeah, I’d definitely stay here again.

What Our Guests Say
I recently stayed at Apartments Anita and had a truly pleasant experience. What stood out to me the most was the wonderful staff—with a special mention to Sandra—and the housekeeping team. They were incredibly polite, kind, and always willing to help, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The apartment itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. If anything was missing, the receptionist was always quick to assist. The location is also quite convenient, with a pharmacy and bakery nearby, and a grocery store just a 10-minute walk away. The beach is even closer, which was a great bonus! One of my favorite features was the balcony; it was so charming and cozy that we spent most of our time there when we were in the apartment.
What could be improved: As for the few minor downsides, the beds and pillows were a bit too firm for my liking, but that’s purely a personal preference. Additionally, there was a small issue with the smell from the bathroom (i guess it was plumbing issue) but it wasn’t something that the staff nor housekeeping could resolve, so we didn’t even mention that.
good location short walk to the old town
What could be improved: our room for 2 was quite small and cramped
Clean and nice staffs
Very clean and tidy, perfect location
What could be improved: My room was too close to the reception and I was easily disturbed by the hall noises
The appartment was spacious and comfortable. It is not brand new, but is kept clean and is nice. The balcony is really big. Check in and check out was extra smooth, fast and easy, , and we got our room 3 hours earlier than we anticipated.
What could be improved: The internet had a strange habit of loosing connection. The refrigerator is really really small, even though it was ok for us. It can be a bit loud during the night since it is close to the main road.
The location was perfect, everything was close to our apartments, staff was good and helpful, they are very friendly and I would love to come back again. Room was clean, we had clean towels and covers every day.
Great location, clean room and lovely staff. Had everything we needed for 2 night stay.
The apartment is fine and clean. Mine was spacious, would fit three/four people. I like that there is someone at the reception almost all the time.
Close to the center.
What could be improved: Not super easy to find, not too cozy, check out is very early, there was no tea kettle.
Location
What could be improved: Parking
Close to Old town in Budva
What could be improved: The Wifi in our room did not work however the staff were very accomodating providing us with another area to make some work calls.
