You know what surprised me most about Apartments Bečići Sunset? It’s one of those places that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once you’re settled in, you start wondering why anyone would bother with those overpriced beachfront towers down the coast.

I mean, let’s be honest – it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble lobbies or doormen in fancy uniforms. But here’s the thing: the apartments are actually spacious (and I’m talking proper living space, not those cramped hotel rooms where you’re bumping into your suitcase every five minutes), and that 8.9 rating isn’t just inflated review scores from people’s aunties. The sunset views are legitimately spectacular – hence the name, obviously – but what really got me was how quiet it stays even during peak summer madness. Most tourists pack themselves into Budva’s old town area, which means Bečići keeps this sort of residential vibe where you can actually hear yourself think.

The apartments come with proper kitchens, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out every meal in Montenegro adds up faster than you’d expect. There’s a decent grocery store about a ten-minute walk away, and the local bakery (you’ll smell it before you see it) does these incredible burek pastries that became my daily breakfast ritual. The beach is close enough that you’re not schlepping your stuff for ages, but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant foot traffic past your window. Parking was surprisingly stress-free too – I’d heard horror stories about finding spots along this stretch of coast, but they’ve got it sorted. The Wi-Fi actually works properly, which I mention because I’ve stayed at supposedly fancier places where you’re basically sending smoke signals to check your email. One small thing though – the check-in process is a bit old-school, so don’t expect some slick digital system, but the staff know what they’re doing and they’re genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. If you’re the type who needs resort-style amenities and daily housekeeping, this probably isn’t your scene. But if you want a proper base for exploring the area without paying resort prices, and you appreciate having actual space to spread out after a day of wandering around medieval fortresses and swimming in ridiculously clear water, then honestly, this place delivers exactly what it promises.

  Staff are very nice and welcoming.specially Jovan who is always there to help .
  View and appartments are really great.
  
  What could be improved: Although we are European and have been around many countries.
  Other guests were very hostile and racist against my kids wearing Burkini swimwear, which is against basic freedom rights.
  This was disappointing and Jovan is investigating the country rules to support .

  Great value for your money. Spacious, conformable and clean apartments.
  
  What could be improved: Almost every night, there was no running water in the apartment. It returned between 8 and 10am the next day. There was no warning, so be prepared to fill your water bottles before going to sleep.

  Location was good, supermarket and little restaurant next door and a walk down to the beach for more restaurants. Two swimming pools available which were great for the children and not too busy.
  
  What could be improved: Apartment needed some additional kitchen items, it was a slightly random selection so we ended up using tea cups for bowls as there wasn't any. The shower door was broken which we reported on check out.

  The view from the apartment was incredible. Apartment was spacious with everything you need and super air conditioning. The apartment was much better than the photos. It’s a big complex but is really quite peaceful. A super shop next door which is very and easy, reliable parking. Great location to beach and restaurants. Becici has everything you need but there is also lots to explore within an hour’s drive.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is up a hill but it’s worth it for the view you get. It only takes 10 mins.
  If a mattress topper was put on the bed in the second room it would be more comfortable making it perfect!

  Apartment was well equipped, had lots of space and a great balcony with pool and sea view. The staff at reception were friendly and knowledgeable.
  
  What could be improved: Rooms weren't cleaned at all during our 10nt stay, or towels changed.
  However we had a washing machine and a hoover so just got on with cleaning ourselves.
  Location was up a steep hill which was difficult to walk up every day/evening.

  Very responsive administration. Each room has their own air conditioning, kitchen has everything needed for stay, full-scale wardrobe, washing machine, iron etc. It was very quiet at night. One of our apartments includes large private terrace with super nice canonical view of Adriatic sea and St. Stefan monastery.
  
  What could be improved: It is very steep road from the sea to the apartments.
  If you are staying with friends, like we are, please note that the complex is big and designed somewhat more like a labyrinth of stairs, bridges and passages, and it could take time and efforts to reach your friends room.
  Two small pools are not enough for all number of guests.
