You know what struck me first about Captain’s Villa? It doesn’t feel like apartments at all – honestly, it’s more like staying at someone’s really well-put-together family compound. The kind of place where you can tell someone actually cares about the details, not just throwing furniture in rooms and calling it done.

I mean, with a 9.4 rating, I was expecting something decent, but this place genuinely surprised me. The apartments have this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake – like the kitchen actually has proper knives (you travelers know what I’m talking about), and there’s enough counter space to spread out if you’re the type who likes to hit the local market and cook. The bedrooms are spacious in that rare way where you’re not doing some weird sideways shuffle around the bed, and honestly, the bathrooms feel almost luxurious. Good water pressure too, which – let’s be real – can make or break a trip.

What really gets me is how quiet it stays, even when the place is full. The walls must actually be built properly because I never felt like I was listening to my neighbors’ entire vacation. The whole setup just works for different types of travelers – I saw families with kids who had room to spread out, couples who seemed perfectly content, and even a few solo travelers who looked like they’d claimed their favorite corner spots. There’s something about the layout that gives everyone their space without feeling isolated. The common areas have this natural flow where you might end up chatting with other guests if you’re in the mood, but you’re never forced into awkward small talk. And the staff – they’re the kind of people who remember your name and actually seem to enjoy helping figure out local recommendations, not just rattling off the same tourist spots everyone hits.

  We had a fantastic stay! The host Ivana was incredibly hospitable—friendly, helpful, and full of great local recommendations that made our trip even better. Ivana really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
  
  The property itself was beautiful. The pool area was clean and relaxing—perfect for a dip after a day of exploring. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-kept. On top of that, the location was ideal— only a 10-15 minute walk from the Old Town, so it was super easy to explore but still nice and quiet at night.
  
  Overall, a wonderful experience. Would definitely stay here again!

  Clean, comfortable apartment with relaxing balcony area, lovely pool area and very kind and helpful hosts. About a 10 minute (hilly) walk from the Old Town and beach.

  There is a lot of attention to detail and care for the accommodation and its people. Ivana was so excited to talk to her guests, recommending things to do in Budva and very passionate about keeping the apartment comfortable. We had a beautiful view from the balcony, a bright and spacious kitchen. There were fresh flowers on the dining table. Warning! A cat might jump on your terrace or come to your room, but we were happy to welcome the guest. Overall, very clean.

  Brilliant place! Loved every minute here , close enough to the old town to walk down at the evening . The Apartment was something else , couldn’t fault it and the host was super helpful

  Lovely apartment and balcony and pool exactly like the photos. Lovely host.
  
  What could be improved: It’s not the property for peace and quiet if that’s what you are looking for. A lot of noisey trucks constantly going past property. Lots of children around the property and quite a lot of noise in the apartment above us. The apartment was lacking a lot of cooking utensils, as we like to eat in and out. We are also in hospitality so know theses things are important for guests.

  The rating for the pool was purely because we did not use it, we were out and about too much. For us the location of the property was perfect. It was about a 10 minute walk from the main bus station which was great for us as we travelled from there to Kotor and Dubrovnik. We were also only a short walk in to the old town and had some lovely views of the mountains from our balcony due the height we were at! The room so super clean on arrival and had everything you could need, shampoo conditioner, washing up liquid and a little selection on condiments. Our room seemed to get a once over every day which was lovely. last but by no means least our host Ivana was so very nice to us and couldn't have been more helpful nothing seemed to be too much. Was a great stay in a very beautiful country. Would love to go back

  Ivana is a wonderful host and makes you feel at home during your stay. She gave us great tips for exploring the area and helped arrange our travel to our next destination which was really helpful. The apartments themselves are lovely and and in a beautiful setting and the price is really good value for money. We would definitely recommend staying here.

  Great location just a short 10 minute walk from the old town. Comfy bed and nice shower with very nice soaps provided. Free parking on the road outside
  
  What could be improved: Owner’s child seem to like running around the place and screaming/crying which wasn’t the wake up call I wanted. Pool area is also very small but we didn’t use it

  The apartment was perfect for me, a comfortable big bed, modern bathroom, a terrace area in the sun. I asked for a quiet room and Ivana suggested one. The Villa is very close to the old town, 10 mins walk, there are steps but this is very manageable for most people. The highlight was the lovely Ivana who made my trip with her suggestions of activities & help – thanks so much Ivana!
