Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Apartments Djuro Rafailovic,” I wasn’t expecting much. The name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, and you know how apartment-style places can be hit or miss. But this little gem absolutely floored me, and that 9.6 rating? Yeah, it’s legit.

Djuro (and I’m pretty sure I’m butchering the pronunciation, but the staff is super patient about it) runs these apartments like they’re his own home – which, honestly, they kind of feel like. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. Not in that sterile, corporate way, but more like your friend’s really put-together cousin who always has good wine and knows exactly how to make you comfortable. The apartments themselves are spacious in a way that makes you forget you’re staying somewhere temporary. I mean, I actually found myself cooking breakfast instead of hunting down a café, which is saying something for me. The kitchens are properly equipped too – not just a sad little hot plate and a dorm fridge, but actual cooking space with decent knives and pans that aren’t warped beyond recognition.

What really gets me about this place is the attention to small things that matter when you’re living somewhere, even briefly. The shower pressure is fantastic (you know how rare that is), the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the entire space, and there are enough outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices. The beds are comfortable in that Goldilocks way – not too soft, not too firm – and the linens feel like someone’s grandmother picked them out with care. Honestly, I slept better there than I do at home half the time. Djuro himself is one of those hosts who somehow strikes the perfect balance between being helpful and giving you space. He’ll sort out whatever you need without hovering, and he’s got this quiet way of anticipating problems before they become actual problems. When my flight got delayed and I needed to adjust my check-in time, it was handled with zero drama – just a quick message exchange and everything was sorted.

The location works really well for exploring, though you’ll want to do a bit of walking or grab local transport to get to the main tourist spots. But that’s actually part of the charm – you’re staying where people actually live, not in some sanitized hotel district. I found myself discovering little neighborhood spots I never would have found otherwise, including this tiny bakery that became my morning ritual. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs daily housekeeping and room service, this isn’t that kind of place. But if you appreciate having your own space with the freedom to come and go as you please, plus a host who genuinely wants you to have a great stay, then you’ll love it here. That 9.6 rating makes complete sense once you’ve spent a few nights there.

  Great hospitality and room interior. The room included everything we needed and more.

  The location is in the center. The beach is 2 min walk. The view is perfect. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Everything is as it is shown on the pictures.

  It was perfect to be close to all the necessary areas (Market, Beach, Bakery, Bus), it was great to be close to everywhere but simultaneously calm and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and sincere, and they patiently listened to and answered every question we had. The designs of the rooms were designed not to show dirt, and the colors were chosen accordingly.
  
  What could be improved: When we asked for the sheets to be changed every 2 days, they stated that they were changed every 4 days, but they did not let us down. Also, although the amenities in our room were renewed every day, the soap was not renewed. We did not pay much attention to this issue, but it may be a problem for more sensitive guests.

  Ivana and her son Nikola is so hospitable, friendly and kind. We checked in easily and room was very tidy. Ivana’s place is well located to the beach, restaurants, bakery, markets… Also easy to comminucate with Ivana. I recommend her place to my friends. Thank you for everything and see you next time

  The apartments are very spacious. It feels like they are completely new, very cozy modern design. There is a small kitchen with all the utensils. I really liked that there was an electric dryer in the bathroom, it was very useful. We could also hang wet towels in the patio. The apartmentd are ideally clean, my children climbed all the corners and there were no any dust. Actually these are the cleanest apartments I have ever stayed in. I really liked the location: literally 2 minutes to the sea, 2 minutes to a good supermarket, but at the same time it’s very quiet and peaceful. We lived on the first floor, so we didn’t have a sea view, but we didn’t need it. The beach near the hotel is perfect for small kids. The staff is very kind and helpful, they surrounded us with care. It felt like we were visiting our best friends. Ivana gave my children a huge bag of toys, puzzles, and beach toys. I was on vacation alone with my little twins and worried about how everything would go. But everything was great thanks to the apartment staff, we had a perfect vacation and will definitely come back!
