You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first pulled up to Apartments Familia – the name sounds pretty generic, and let’s be real, apartment-style hotels can be hit or miss. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The moment you walk into the lobby, there’s this warm, family-run vibe that you just can’t fake. I mean, the staff genuinely remembers your name after day one, which is rare these days. The apartments themselves are spacious – like, actually spacious, not that cramped “European cozy” thing some places try to sell you on. Each unit has a proper kitchenette with everything you’d need if you want to skip the restaurant scene for a night (though honestly, the local spots nearby are worth exploring). The beds are surprisingly comfortable, and I’m pretty picky about mattresses after years of travel mishaps. What really got me though was the attention to little details – fresh towels that actually smell good, decent water pressure in the shower, and windows that open wide enough to let in a proper breeze.

The location turned out to be one of those happy accidents where you’re close enough to everything without being right in the chaos. You can walk to the main attractions without feeling like you need a recovery day afterward, but when you come back in the evening, it’s actually quiet enough to sleep. Parking was way easier than I expected – there’s a spot for your car without the usual city hotel nightmare of circling blocks or paying premium rates. I stayed there during what I’d guess was a pretty busy season, and the place never felt overcrowded or noisy. The other guests seemed to be a mix of families and couples, all pretty relaxed and respectful. Check-in was smooth (they actually had my room ready early, which never happens), and the front desk folks gave me solid recommendations for restaurants that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. One morning I could smell fresh bread from somewhere nearby – turns out there’s this little bakery just around the corner that locals actually go to. That 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be fancy or trendy, but everything just works the way it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re traveling.

  The location is great, there are restaurants and markets near by, the bus station and the beach are in a walking distance, hosts are very nice and helpful, the communication was good, the room is clean, the bed is comfortable, we had a pleasant stay, couldn't recommend more, everything was great and we had the best time in Budva, we'll come again for sure.

  Very nice apartment with a spacious kitchen, super clean and comfortable, good bed , great location, super quiet, nice host. Near the property there is a free parking, shops and a lot of restaurants.
