You know what surprised me about Apartments Gold? The name had me expecting some flashy, over-the-top place, but it’s actually refreshingly understated – the kind of spot where you feel like you stumbled onto something the locals have been keeping to themselves. I mean, sure, it’s got that solid 4-star rating for a reason, but there’s this relaxed, lived-in quality that makes it feel more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than some sterile hotel chain.

The apartment-style setup is honestly perfect if you’re planning to stick around for more than just a quick weekend. Each unit has this proper kitchen situation – not just a mini-fridge and microwave, but actual counter space where you can spread out your farmer’s market haul or prep coffee the way you like it in the morning. The living areas have that comfortable, slightly worn-in furniture that you can actually relax on without worrying about every little thing. And the bedrooms? Well, let’s just say the blackout curtains are doing their job because I slept better there than I have in months at home. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious too – you’re not doing that awkward shower dance trying not to knock over everything with your elbows.

What really won me over, though, was how the staff just… gets it. Check-in was smooth without being robotic, and when I mentioned I was hoping to find some decent coffee nearby, the front desk guy actually drew me a little map to this hole-in-the-wall roastery about three blocks over (which, by the way, became my daily ritual). The building itself has this quiet confidence – you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls or hallway noise at all hours, but it’s not so isolated that you feel cut off from everything either. I noticed the housekeeping team actually pays attention to details, like how they’d fold the throw blankets differently each day and always left the temperature just right. The 8.5 rating makes total sense when you add up all these little touches that most places either miss completely or try way too hard to get right. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself extending your stay just because – well, because why mess with a good thing?

  Golden Aps is well situated- few km to Budva, litlle more to Kotor or Tivat. Hotel is 20 meters from main route, but it is quiet place, you don't hear traffic. There are restaurants, market, bakery very close. Swimming pool is amazing- fresh water, not so big but comfartable. Bar is long open with full drinks and very good food (pizza yummy). There is everything you need to relax and if you need something- host of the place, Drago with his family is on duty, helpful and polite. Respect and thanks for them- atmosphere in Gold Aps is super. Apartament is quite big with balcony, well equiped, comfort beds in sleeping room. PLace is super for trips along whole shore in Montenegro and also for visiting Kotor Bay.

  The staff was very nice, there was AC in the room and everything was clean. Location is good, with supermarket and bakery within 2 min walk.
  
  What could be improved: Apartments gold are located near a noisy main road. Breakfast could have more variety. Maybe, fresh juices, more fruits and pastries.

  The hosts were super friendly and helpful and the pool area was excellent.
  
  What could be improved: Because we had a car it wasnt too much of a problem but there wasn't much around the hotel and the decor and fittings are quite dated. But we still had a great time.
