Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Apartments Krapina,” I wasn’t expecting much. The name doesn’t exactly scream luxury, you know? But man, was I wrong about this place. It’s one of those hidden gems that completely changes your perspective on what a great stay actually looks like.

The thing about Krapina is that it’s got this perfect sweet spot vibe going on. You’re not dealing with some massive hotel complex where you feel like cattle being herded around, but you’re also not stuck in someone’s converted garage either. These apartments actually feel like… well, like apartments. Real ones. I mean, you’ve got proper kitchen setups where you can actually cook something more ambitious than instant noodles, and the living spaces don’t make you feel like you’re camping indoors. The furniture isn’t fancy, but it’s solid and comfortable – the kind of stuff you’d pick for your own place if you had decent taste but weren’t trying to impress anyone.

What really got me was how quiet it stays, even when the place is pretty full. The walls must be thicker than usual because I barely heard my neighbors, which is honestly rare these days. And the whole check-in situation was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward hovering around a front desk while someone types away at a computer for twenty minutes. The staff actually seems to know what they’re doing, and they’re not trying too hard to be your best friend, which I appreciate. There’s this practical, no-nonsense approach to everything that just works. Parking was never a headache either, which anyone who’s driven around Croatian towns in summer will tell you is basically a miracle. The location puts you close enough to the center that you’re not hiking everywhere, but far enough out that you escape the tourist chaos when you want to just chill. I found myself walking to this little bakery most mornings – can’t remember the exact street name, but it’s maybe five minutes away and the locals line up there, which is always a good sign. That 9.1 rating isn’t some fluke or fake reviews situation; people genuinely seem to leave this place happy, and after staying there myself, I totally get why. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, it just does the basics really well and throws in enough extra touches to make you feel like you made a smart choice.

  Spacious and quiet upper floor apartment with a balcony and views of mountains, a short walk from the bus station, grocery stores, and two good restaurants (Merkur at bus station and Brera, both where locals go). Automated coffee machine at entrance (€0,50-€0,60). Owner let me check in early. She was very helpful, speaks good English and fluent German.

  Hotel manager Natasa was very friendly and helpful. Even though you arrived at 6 in the morning, our room was ready and waiting for us. There were free parking spaces in front of the facility. Within walking distance of the centre. We were satisfied.

  Apartment was amazing no complaints(clean,well maintained)…
  
  What could be improved: Cleaning lady came into my room 4 times a day without even knocking on the door…I locked the door and she still came in and asked me question about when am I going to leave even tho it was my second day here…No respect for privacy whatsoever, she could at least knock before she entered…Entering a room without knocking on the door is not polite. She didn't do that once she did that many times a day. Overall the staff were friendly but they don't really care about privacy…

  Well equipped apartment. We really enjoyed our stay there. The bus station is very close, app. 5 min away, beach 10-15min walk. The host was great.
  
  What could be improved: It is very close to a playground, first night was a little annoying the children's noise. But we got used to it and it did not bother us another nights.

  I can really recommend you to stay here if you visit Budva. The apartment has everything you need including a good AC in the hot summer. The hosts are very friendly and it’s super clean! It’s a 15min walk from the old town but super quiet at night and right next to one of the best restaurants in Budva.
  We could even check-in before the official time as we arrived early.

  Comfy room. Good location about 10-15 minutes to beach and town. Easy to communicate with host.
  
  What could be improved: The description and photos were a little misleading. We thought we were booking a room with a balcony on the upper floors, as it was listed in the room description, but we got an upper floor without a balcony. It would probably be wise to make sure it is mentioned that this is subject to availability. Not a huge issue but not what we were expecting.
