The building has that clean, modern Montenegrin style that’s become pretty common along the coast, but the staff’s genuine warmth when I checked in immediately set it apart from some of the flashier places I’ve stayed.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about Budva — everyone talks about being close to the Old Town, but what they don’t tell you is that you want to be close enough to walk there, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. Apartments Krapina nails this balance perfectly. I could stroll to the medieval walls in about ten minutes, hit the main beaches without breaking a sweat, but still escape the chaos when I needed to. The neighborhood itself is pretty residential, which means you get a glimpse of how locals actually live rather than just the tourist bubble.

The Space Itself

My apartment was honestly bigger than I expected — and I mean that in the best way. The kitchen wasn’t just for show; it had everything I needed to make proper meals, which saved me a fortune during my week there. The living area felt lived-in rather than sterile, and the bedroom was quiet enough that I actually got decent sleep (trust me, that’s not always guaranteed in Budva). What really impressed me was how clean everything was — not just surface clean, but properly maintained clean.

Daily Life and Practical Stuff

Look, I’m not going to pretend this place has a fancy spa or some elaborate restaurant — it doesn’t need them. What it does have is reliable wifi, good water pressure, and air conditioning that actually works when you need it most. The parking situation is straightforward, which anyone who’s driven in Montenegro will appreciate. I spent most mornings having coffee on my little balcony, planning out beach days or day trips to places like Kotor. The setup just made everything feel… easy, I guess.

Why Guests Love It

After talking to other travelers during my stay, it became clear why this place consistently gets such high ratings. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — instead, it focuses on doing the basics really, really well. Couples especially seem to love it here, and I can see why. There’s something romantic about having your own little space where you can cook dinner together, then walk hand-in-hand to the Old Town for drinks. The value is exceptional too; you get way more space and freedom than you’d find in most hotels for the same price.   Spacious and quiet upper floor apartment with a balcony and views of mountains, a short walk from the bus station, grocery stores, and two good restaurants (Merkur at bus station and Brera, both where locals go). Automated coffee machine at entrance (€0,50-€0,60). Owner let me check in early. She was very helpful, speaks good English and fluent German.

  Hotel manager Natasa was very friendly and helpful. Even though you arrived at 6 in the morning, our room was ready and waiting for us. There were free parking spaces in front of the facility. Within walking distance of the centre. We were satisfied.

  Apartment was amazing no complaints(clean,well maintained)…
  
  What could be improved: Cleaning lady came into my room 4 times a day without even knocking on the door…I locked the door and she still came in and asked me question about when am I going to leave even tho it was my second day here…No respect for privacy whatsoever, she could at least knock before she entered…Entering a room without knocking on the door is not polite. She didn't do that once she did that many times a day. Overall the staff were friendly but they don't really care about privacy…

  Well equipped apartment. We really enjoyed our stay there. The bus station is very close, app. 5 min away, beach 10-15min walk. The host was great.
  
  What could be improved: It is very close to a playground, first night was a little annoying the children's noise. But we got used to it and it did not bother us another nights.

  I can really recommend you to stay here if you visit Budva. The apartment has everything you need including a good AC in the hot summer. The hosts are very friendly and it’s super clean! It’s a 15min walk from the old town but super quiet at night and right next to one of the best restaurants in Budva.
  We could even check-in before the official time as we arrived early.

  Comfy room. Good location about 10-15 minutes to beach and town. Easy to communicate with host.
  
  What could be improved: The description and photos were a little misleading. We thought we were booking a room with a balcony on the upper floors, as it was listed in the room description, but we got an upper floor without a balcony. It would probably be wise to make sure it is mentioned that this is subject to availability. Not a huge issue but not what we were expecting.
