Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Apartments Memidz,” I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the places that don’t try too hard end up surprising you the most. This little gem sits quietly doing its thing, and that 8.5 rating actually makes perfect sense once you spend a night or two there.

What really got me was how the staff just… gets it. They’re not rushing around trying to impress you with fancy uniforms or over-the-top service, but they know their stuff. The guy at reception – I think his name was Stefan – knew exactly which apartment would be quietest for my early morning calls, and he was right. The walls are surprisingly thick for a building that’s clearly seen some decades, though you’ll still catch the occasional footstep from upstairs if someone’s really stomping around. The apartments themselves have this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake – proper kitchenettes with decent-sized fridges, not those tiny hotel minibars that barely fit a yogurt. I mean, the decor isn’t winning any design awards, but everything works, and honestly, there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on function over Instagram-worthy aesthetics.

Here’s the thing that sold me though – the little details that show someone actually cares. Fresh towels that don’t smell like industrial bleach, decent water pressure (seriously, why is this so rare?), and windows that actually open properly for some real air circulation. The neighborhood’s got this authentic vibe where you’ll hear church bells in the morning and catch the smell of someone’s grandmother making coffee drifting up from the courtyard. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during busy periods – you might have to circle the block once or twice – but there’s usually something within a reasonable walk. I stayed during what felt like a local festival week, and even with the extra activity, it never felt chaotic or overwhelming. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and room service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a clean, comfortable base where you can actually spread out your stuff and feel somewhat human after a long day of wandering around, Apartments Memidz delivers without any pretense. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Staff was friendly , good location and fairly priced.
  
  What could be improved: Although it says private parking and it is going to be charged 3€ per day, we only arrived to be charged 5€ for a street parking.

  Clean and comfortable room with private bathroom. Clean towel and sheets. Was ideal for one. Near to the bus station and the beach – go to the main road (Jadranski) turn left and cross at the pedestrian crossing to find a pathway down to the beach (5 mins). Excellent vegan restaurant on the main road too (after the petrol station on the right). Host was very nice and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The room was ideal for one, but might be tight for 2. However, this is reflected in the price.
