So I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartments Mika, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you upfront. This little gem actually surprised me in all the right ways.

The apartment setup is what really makes this place work. I mean, sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but there’s something refreshing about having actual space to spread out – a proper kitchenette where you can make coffee without burning yourself on a tiny hotel machine, a living area where you can actually relax instead of perching on the edge of your bed. The owner, Mika (I’m assuming that’s who the cheerful woman at check-in was), clearly gets that travelers want to feel somewhat human during their stay. She was genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions – gave me solid recommendations for where to grab groceries and even warned me about the construction noise that starts around 7 AM on weekdays. Honestly appreciated the heads up there.

What struck me most was how the place manages to feel both practical and welcoming without being fancy about it. The apartments are clean in that “my Croatian grandmother would approve” way, and the beds are actually comfortable – not just hotel-marketing comfortable, but legitimately good sleep comfortable. Parking was straightforward, which anyone who’s driven around European city centers knows is basically a small miracle. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’re staying somewhere real people actually live, not in some tourist bubble. You’ll hear normal life happening around you – kids playing, neighbors chatting – which I find way more charming than sterile hotel silence. The Wi-Fi worked reliably (tested it for work calls, no issues), and honestly, the whole experience just felt… easy. No drama, no unpleasant surprises, just solid fundamentals done well. That 8.9 rating makes complete sense when you realize how rare it is to find a place that simply delivers on what it promises without any nonsense. If you’re looking for somewhere to actually stay rather than just sleep between tourist activities, Apartments Mika gets it right in a way that’ll probably have you booking again next time you’re in the area.

  Great accommodation, good location, short walk to the old town and large supermarket. Room is very clean and spacious! Would recommend this place for your stay in Budva!

  Everything was great. The apartment was very clean, with a nice private area where you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains. It was quiet, with no noise. Additionally, the owner can wash things in the washing machine if needed. We checked in quickly and without any problems, and the owner met us. We did not see any insects. The sea was closer than we thought, about 15-20 minutes on foot.

  This great apartments located at good area and quiet street, in the room was all what I need for good rest. Near the home you can find bakery, supermarket. At the yard you can park your car. Thanks for hospitality and friendly 😉

  The Apartment is located very near to the biggest market and that's an advantage. On the other hand; it is quite away from the sea. After sea, you will need to walk min 10 mins to get back home.
  The renter is helpful and kind. Language is a barrier but you can still communicate.
  The room size, the furniture, kitchen utilities are very comfy and new.
  Towels, sheets and cushions are clean.
  The air conditioner works very well and enough for such a wide space.
  Internet connection is pretty fast! You will surf at all applications without any problems or disconnections.
  I may come back to stay and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the Renter.

  What could be improved: The main problem of the apartment are the bugs and mosquitos. I have come across with one of the biggest lizard I have ever seen in an apartment. I couldn't catch him but he wasn't dangerous for people, either. If you have any phobia, you'd rather stay away from this apartment. Because it is impossible not to come across one during your stay.

  I liked the locacion.It was only 15 minutes by walk from Old Town and the nearest supermarket was only 2 minutes away. The apartament was very clean. The owner was polite and he welcomed us with a drink. I really recommended if you want to spend your holidays in Budva.

  A tulajdonos nagyon kedves, segítőkész.Nagy rend és tisztaság fogadott minket. Hatalmas + az is, hogy a szobához tartozott parkoló, így nem közvetlenül az utcán kellett megállni.🙏🏻
