Apartments Nada

You know what surprised me most about Apartments Nada? How quiet it actually is despite being right in the thick of things on Vojvodjanska Street. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Old Town walls, but somehow this little building manages to feel like a peaceful retreat once you’re inside.

The apartments themselves are exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place in Budva – nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s spotlessly clean. The owners, who I’m pretty sure live on-site, clearly take pride in the place. My studio had this tiny balcony that looked out over the neighborhood rooftops, and honestly, sitting there with morning coffee watching the town wake up became my favorite part of each day. The kitchen setup is basic but functional – I managed to make simple meals, though let’s be real, with all the amazing restaurants within walking distance, you probably won’t be cooking much. The air conditioning actually works well (crucial during those sweltering July and August weeks), and the Wi-Fi is reliable enough for video calls, which isn’t always a given in this part of Montenegro.

What really won me over was the location – it’s one of those spots that locals would pick if they needed to stay somewhere in the tourist zone. You’re close enough to stumble home from the nightlife along the marina, but far enough from the main pedestrian drag that you’re not dealing with crowds of cruise ship passengers every time you leave the building. The little grocery store on the corner stays open late, there’s a decent bakery about two blocks down toward the beach, and if you need a proper supermarket, there’s one maybe a seven-minute walk toward the newer part of town. Parking can be tricky during peak season – there’s some street parking nearby, but you might end up walking a few blocks if you arrive late in the day during summer. The beach is close, obviously, but here’s the thing about Budva’s main beach area – it gets absolutely packed. If you’re staying at Nada, you’re actually better positioned to walk a bit further to some of the quieter spots along the coast, or catch a quick bus to Jaz Beach when you want more space to breathe. The 8.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury experience, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.
