I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Apartments Nedovic-Jaz – honestly, the name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, and three stars usually means “functional but forgettable.” But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s one of those family-run spots where you can tell someone genuinely cares about the details, and that 8.8 rating? Yeah, it’s earned.

The apartments themselves are way more spacious than you’d expect – I mean, we’re talking actual room to spread out, not those cramped hotel boxes where you’re bumping into furniture every five minutes. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too, which is clutch if you’re staying more than a couple nights or traveling with kids who get picky about food. I loved that the balconies actually face somewhere decent (not a brick wall like my last place), and you can hear the sea in the distance when the wind’s right. The Wi-Fi works everywhere – tested it thoroughly because, let’s be real, that’s make-or-break these days. One small thing though: the shower pressure’s a bit temperamental in the mornings when everyone’s getting ready, but honestly, for the price point, I’m not complaining.

What really sold me was how the owners run the place. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no corporate nonsense, just real people who know their property inside and out and want you to enjoy your stay. They’ve got that local knowledge you can’t Google: where to park without getting a ticket, which beach spots aren’t overrun by tour groups, the bakery that opens early if you need decent coffee before 8 AM. The location puts you close enough to everything that matters without being right in the chaos – you can walk to restaurants and the waterfront easily, but you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM. I actually slept better here than I have at much fancier places because it’s just… peaceful, I guess? The kind of spot where you wake up naturally instead of to construction noise or garbage trucks. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel – but with actual housekeeping and proper towels – this is your spot.

  Right off the bat, the smell of clean sheets and towels was felt throughout the room. Everything was sparkling clean and the sheets had that crispy clean feel to them, which we value a lot.
  
  What could be improved: The neighboring houses are a bit loud with their special machines and small businesses going on in their yards, but not all the time. The rest was exceptionally good and a great value for money.
