You know what really surprised me about Apartments Onia? I walked up that hill on Topliški Put expecting just another budget place – I mean, it’s technically a 3-star – but honestly, this spot punches way above its weight. The location is actually brilliant once you get your bearings. Yeah, you’re walking about 10-15 minutes to get down to the main Budva action, but that’s exactly why it works. You get all the space and quiet you need, plus those glimpses of the Adriatic through the trees that you just don’t get when you’re crammed into the Old Town chaos.

The apartments themselves feel more like staying at someone’s well-kept place than a hotel. Everything’s clean and thoughtfully set up – proper kitchenette with a fridge that actually gets cold, decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. The owner clearly gives a damn, which shows in little things like having enough towels and making sure the shower pressure doesn’t disappoint you. I stayed there in July (which, let’s be honest, is when Budva gets absolutely mental with crowds) and it stayed refreshingly quiet at night. You can actually sleep without earplugs, unlike some places I’ve tried closer to Slovenska Obala where the party noise goes until dawn.

Here’s the thing about that 9.4 rating – it’s not inflated tourist nonsense. The value is genuinely solid, especially if you’re planning to explore beyond just Budva. You’re actually closer to some of the better hiking trails that wind up through the hills, and there’s a little local bakery about five minutes down the road that does these amazing burek pastries for breakfast. Way better than hotel continental stuff, and half the price. The walk down to town is steep but manageable (though coming back up with groceries after a beach day… well, that’s character-building). Parking’s not a nightmare either, which in Budva is basically a miracle. If you’re coming in peak summer, just know that the buses to other coastal towns pick up pretty regularly from the main road, so you don’t need to rent a car unless you really want to. Honestly, for what you pay versus what you get, especially with how crazy expensive Montenegro’s gotten lately, Apartments Onia just makes sense.

  We stayed in a luxury apartment in Budva for 4 nights. The apartment itself is stunning – spacious, bright, beautifully designed, and located in a new, upscale building with a pool available to all residents. The location is excellent – just a short walk to the old town, promenade, restaurants, and shops. The private parking is a big plus in this area. There are also two large balconies.
  
  What could be improved: we were quite disappointed by the lack of basic supplies, which made it difficult to enjoy a truly comfortable stay. There was no dish soap, no cleaning cloths, no cleaning products at all, and not enough trash bags. There were no kitchen towels or paper towels, and not enough bath towels. The kitchen was only partially equipped – lacking cups, bowls, hot pads, placemats, and basic cooking utensils. Even essentials like salt and sufficient toilet paper were missing. Beds were missing pillows, and there were blankets without covers. The large balconies were almost empty – just two simple and uncomfortable wood chairs.
  
  For a luxury apartment, especially during a 4-night stay that included 3 public holidays when shops were closed, we expected at least the basic essentials to be provided. Tourists shouldn’t have to purchase all of these items themselves.

  Apartment was a great size and location. Nicely done. Comfortable and clean and nice balcony. Host was very helpful and kind.
  
  What could be improved: Some extras like cleaning stuff etc were missing. Also we booked a car to Kotor through the host but they charged extra due to a traffic jam which was not too professional.

  First of all, this place is beautiful and just like in pictures! Its very spacious, full of light, new and fresh.Nice big balcony and roof windows. The sofa was the most comfortable thing to chill on.
  
  The location is excellent, it very close by all the main things such as rentaurants, bus station, stores and beaches. The pool area is gorgeous and it wasnt busy.
  
  Our host was friendly and willing to help with everything.
  
  I truely recommend this accomodation for everyone. Its very effortless and classy
  
  What could be improved: Now some things that could add more value to aparment if improved:
  
  – the aparment lacked some small things such as dishwash sponges, kitchen wipes, trash bags, toilet paper and pillow. We asked our host of those and he brought them the the next day which was very nice. But it would be nice to have them readily on the aparment.
  
  – it would be nice to have more hooks for towels on the bathroom. I understand that the aparment is brand new and i think still developing after feedback from users.
  
  – i dont know if it a local custom but our bed didnt have matress cover which could have made the bed more comfortable. The bottom sheet was a little bit too small (and not very good quality) and without matress cover it didnt stay on its place. Also the second blanket was weirdly heavy and thick and too hot for this weather. We had to take turns sleeping with the good blanket with my husband.
  
  – i dont know was it because of the flooring material but the floors looked a little bit unclean in the kitchen area. It would be nice to have a bucket, mop and some cleaning supplement in the aparment. During our one week stay i would have liked to wipe the floor a time or too.
  
  But overall this place is great and we really enjoyd our stay! With these small details taken in to consideration it will be 10+!

  The ONIA apartment really impressed us. Modern, spacious interior with full arrangements (very comfortable mattresses, air conditioning, heated floor, full equipment for everyday functioning). We really liked the possibility of observing the sky through the roof window from the comfortable sofa in the living room 🙂
  It is also worth adding that the apartment has a great location and is quiet.
  The host is very polite and helpful 🙂
  We highly recommend it.

  Het appartement was ruim en had veel voorzieningen. Het was ongeveer 20min lopen naar de stranden en naar het oude centrum. Het appartement was netjes en schoon. Op een gegeven moment werkte de wifi niet meer goed. Onze host heeft dat binnen een dag super goed opgepakt. Fijne en goed bereikbare host.
  
  What could be improved: We miste wat zaken in de keuken, zoals overwanten, theedoeken en dergelijke. Daardoor was het lastiger om te koken. Ook miste we een strijkplank om onze was te kunnen strijken.
